Descrizione

The Readable Race & Training Pacer data field will show the number of seconds you are ahead or behind a specified interval/race target pace or race goal. Somewhat like Garmin RacePro and Virtual Pacer, but much more advanced, versatile, easy to read, and accurate. Maximum readability is achieved by using the largest possible custom font that can fit the data field! So, if you have a hard time reading small numbers, like me at the end of a hard race, or have poor eyesight and prefer not to run with classes, this is the Pacer App for you! You may also try the related Advanced R&T Pacer, which offers more screen layout options but with less readability. See https://apps.garmin.com/apps/fed825a9-07bb-40fc-b272-17b37af6f6e2. The Readable R&T Pacer App offers many advanced features for training, running tests, and accurate race pacing: • Either a target pace or a race goal, with optional “warm up” segments can be specified. Basic examples are “5:00”, “5@25:00” and “1 -10; 5@25:00”. The later example results in a race goal of 5 km in 25 minutes, with the first 1 km at a 10 sec slower “warm up” target pace. • For interval training, repeating segments can be specified using e.g. “4x(1 4:00, 0.3 5:00,)”. Where the “,” instead of a “;” makes the pacer time reset when shifting between segments. • Segments can also be LAP button triggered or with a time duration. E.g. “L 5:30, 12:00 4:00” is a Cooper test with warm up until the LAP button is pressed, followed by a 12 min run at target pace 4:00. A sliding target pace is also possible, useful for e.g. slowly accelerating long runs. • Insert the data field in a data screen with a single field (full screen) layout, and additional configurable running information in top and bottom fields will be provided. E.g. the pace required rest of the race to meet race goal, running power from a connected Stryd. 30+ more options are available. • Distance correction in percentage can be configured, since GPS devices often report a bit longer distance than the actual race distance. • Distance correction by LAP button press. When next to a race marker in a race, say a 5 km marker, press the LAP button on the watch, and the elapsed distance will be corrected to 5 km. • Pacing, LAP and segment alerts can be configured. • Optional FIT file recording, for ahead/behind graph in Garmin Connect. • Miles can be chosen instead of km. • And, much much more … NOTE: On devices where data fields are not displayed prior to the run, like the Venu and Vivoactive series, the pre-run information will be displayed until 30 meters have been run. For a full and thorough introduction, see the user guide: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ochp68bco9q5okh/RART%20Pacer%20User%20Guide.pdf?dl=0 This App is completely free! But, if you like it, please leave a review to help promote the App. Happy Racing & Training! Hr. Mortensen

NOTE: Please also check out my latest MAX FONT data field App for runners! 3.9.1 New devices 3.9 Added Time of day data field 3.8 Added “Total ascent” metric. Added new pacer time on-top-of-map mode, where the text is black, framed if behind. Can provide better readability on top of colored maps. Layouts updated for all newer devices. Minor fixes. Promotion: See also my other new max font data field App for runners: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/acaa8db6-4387-44ae-9d4c-12168a778667 3.7 For newer devices, the ”L” marker (e.g. “L 4:00”) now also imply a shift to next segment when a Garmin Workout is progressed to next workout step. To allow the Pacer App, with ease, to be used in combination with Garmin Workouts 3.6 For newer devices, preset 1-8 strings in settings may now begin with a descriptive text enclosed in single quotation marks for ease of remembering them, e.g. ” ’Parkrun’ 5@25:00”. The descriptive text will be shown on the first screen in the pre-run display 3.5 Added two new data fields supporting Stryd running power (Watt & zone), with time averaging options and zone coloring like Stryd’s own App. Also, current pace is now averaged ~5 seconds for a bit steadier pace reporting, settings reshuffled for easier access to presets, and other minor improvements 3.4 Distance correction percentage is now calculated and updated whenever a correction by LAP button occurs. Will provide smoother accurate pacing in races. If FIT is enabled, an additional graph will now show progression of applied distance correction percentages. User guide has received a major overhaul for clarity on race related functionality 3.3 Warm up and rest segments, can now be specified to have no target pace using “-”. E.g. “2 -, 2x(1 4:00; 0.3 -,)”. Pacer time will report “-” while running in segments with no target pace and save zero’s to FIT. Such segment must be ended with a “,” after the “-” so pacer time is reset before the next segment. Ultra runs up to 999 km & 99 hours are now supported. Pacer Time can go up to +/- 10 hours 3.2 Coloring of HR & Cadence data fields depending on zone is now available, with several layout styles to choose from, see user guide (for newer devices only). Updates and fixes to Venu series and fr245(M) 3.1 Green/red colors dimmed after sunset on new AMOLED devices to achieve higher contrast and lower brightness during night runs. Added support for MARQ 2 devices 3.0 Major update offering presets for often used training sessions, LAP triggered segments, many new data field options, and more! See new user guide Note that many of the new features require a newer Garmin device. App name changed since a new “Advanced R&T Pacer” is now also available. This new App offers configurable screen layouts with 3, 4 or 5 data fields. Give it a try, see: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/fed825a9-07bb-40fc-b272-17b37af6f6e2 2.7 Changed to less bright/intense colors for devices with an AMOLED display 2.6 Added Fenix 7 series, Epix (Gen 2), and Venu 2 Plus 2.5 On devices where the data field is not displayed prior to the run, like Venu and Vivoactive, the pre-run information will now be displayed until 40 meters have elapsed 2.4 Added support for Forerunner® 55, Forerunner® 945 LTE & Descent™ Mk2S 2.3 Most touch devices, like Venu and Vivoactive, do not show data fields prior to the run. For these, race information will be displayed during the first seconds of the run 2.2 An identical copy of the Pacer is now available in the Connect IQ Store. This is to enable two separate full screen data fields, with two different configurations for what data to show in top and bottom fields. Added support for Venu™ 2 & 2S 2.1 Added support for Enduro™ 2.0 Major update! E.g. now support for time duration segments (intervals) 1.0 First release!
