Descrizione
Skidpatch turns your chainring, cog and wheel size into everything a fixed gear or singlespeed rider wants to know: gear inches, metres of development, gain ratio and the number of skid patches your rear tyre gets. During a ride it works out your cadence from GPS speed and your gear, so no cadence sensor is needed; a sensor can still be paired if you have one.
Before you swap a cog, the gear advisor suggests the ratios that hit your target cadence at your usual speed, ranked by skid patches. The climb model estimates the steepest grade you can still turn at your minimum cadence, and on the road the watch vibrates when a climb drags you below it or when you spin out.
WHAT IT DOES
- Gear inches, development in metres and gain ratio with your crank length
- Skid patches for one-footed and ambidextrous skidders
- Cadence from GPS speed and gear, or from a cadence sensor
- Cadence at five speeds and your spin-out speed
- Climb model: steepest grade at your minimum cadence and the cadence needed at 3, 6 and 10 %
- Gear advisor: the three best chainring and cog combinations for your target cadence
- Live ride screen with cadence ring, speed, grade and warnings for grinding and spin-out
- Ride stats: moving time, distance, average and max cadence, ascent, time in five cadence zones
- Measured wheel circumference from a cadence sensor on a fixed gear, one tap to apply
- FIT recording with estimated cadence as the normal cadence chart, plus gear inches and skid patches
- Three bikes, history of 30 rides and a glance with your current gear and skid patches
WHAT IT NEEDS
- A watch with GPS
- Optional: a Bluetooth or ANT+ cadence sensor
- The climb model is an estimate from power, weight and standard rolling and air resistance values; treat it as a guide
