RunCode puts a clear parkrun participant barcode on your compatible Garmin watch, ready to open without a separate developer account, advertising or developer-operated network connection. Free is a complete one-person barcode app. Save one participant profile, choose Minimal Black or Minimal White, and keep optional ICE details in a separate view. There is no trial timer or in-app feature-unlock payment. INCLUDED FREE • One participant profile • Code 128 participant barcode • Two Minimal themes: Minimal Black and Minimal White • Optional ICE contact name, relationship, phone and supplementary medical note • Layouts adapted to supported watch shapes and displays • Text fitting for longer names and participant IDs • Zero requested permissions • No developer-operated networking, analytics, advertising or account WANT MORE? CHOOSE RUNCODE PRO For families, shared watches or more personalisation, RunCode Pro adds: • Up to three participant profiles • Fast switching between enabled valid profiles • 17 complete themes and six colourways on compatible colour displays • An individual theme and colourway for each participant • Separate optional ICE details for every profile Find RunCode Pro in More from this Developer (our other apps on this Store page). Pro is a separate paid app and is available only for supported watches. Some watches that support Free cannot install Pro. Availability also depends on Garmin's paid-app support for your region. This is not an in-app upgrade. BUILT AROUND THE BARCODE Both Free themes keep black bars on a white carrier with protected quiet zones. Layouts adapt to supported watch shapes and displays rather than stretching one design across every device. SIMPLE SETUP Open RunCode settings in Garmin Connect or Garmin Express, enter your participant name and ID, choose a theme, then save and synchronise. Enter an ID as A followed by digits, lower-case a followed by digits, or digits only. Valid input is normalised automatically; spaces, punctuation and other letters are rejected. DISPLAY AND DEVICE AVAILABILITY RunCode is available only for compatible watches shown on this Store page. Free includes Minimal Black and Minimal White; presentation adapts to your watch. Pro's full theme and colourway collection requires a compatible colour display; supported low-colour and monochrome displays use Minimal Black and Minimal White. The Large barcode-height option is available only on eligible 240, 260 and 280-pixel high-colour watches. Other models use Standard height or a layout selected for their display. App Glance is unavailable on some watches. Very long participant IDs containing 15–16 digits may not fit a compact monochrome screen without distorting the barcode. RunCode shows a clear fallback instead; carry your official barcode for that participant. PRIVATE BY DESIGN RunCode requests zero permissions and has no developer-operated networking, analytics, advertising or user account. Settings use Garmin's application-settings system and may synchronise through Garmin services under Garmin's privacy terms; the RunCode developer does not receive participant or ICE details. IMPORTANT RunCode is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by parkrun Global Limited or Garmin Ltd. Barcode performance can vary with the watch, screen condition, lighting and scanning equipment. Carry your official barcode as a backup, particularly until you have checked RunCode in your own event conditions. ICE information is optional and provided for convenience only. It is not a substitute for professional medical identification or emergency services.
