How many Everests have you climbed? Every meter of ascent your watch records takes a little pixel-art mountaineer up a virtual Everest. 8,849 m of elevation gain = one Everest. Reach the summit, earn new gear and a new title, then start again from sea level. HOW IT WORKS Uses your watch's daily elevation gain (barometric altimeter), from every activity and all day long. No need to start an activity. On first launch, the last 7 days of climbing are already counted. Add your lifetime ascent from Garmin Connect in the app settings ("Ascent already done") to start where you really are. THREE PAGES The Mountain: the whole Everest, from Kathmandu to the summit, with your route and your climber on it. The scenery follows the time of day: day, dawn and starry night. Where am I?: a close-up of your climber in 11 pixel-art scenes: rice terraces, the Kathmandu stupa, the Lukla forest, Namche, yaks at Dingboche, Base Camp, the Khumbu Icefall ladder, the Western Cwm, the Lhotse Face fixed rope, the South Col and the summit ridge. It also shows how far it is to the next camp. Logbook: total ascent, your next gear and when you'll get it, and an estimate of your next summit at your current pace. 17 GEAR LEVELS A new item at each of your first 8 summits (big pack, ice axe, helmet & rope, goggles, down suit, crampons, oxygen, prayer flags). Golden gear arrives at 10, 12, 15, 20, 25 and 30 Everests, a snow leopard companion joins you at 40, and a golden aura at 50. Every level has its own title, from TREKKER to CHOMOLUNGMA. You earn a star for every summit between levels. SUMMIT CELEBRATION Each summit gets its own screen with a vibration, your new gear and your new title. If you reach a summit while the app is closed, it is waiting for you the next time you open it. GLANCE Your Everest number, your progress bar with every camp marked, and the distance left to the summit. GOOD TO KNOW Requires a watch with a barometric altimeter. Your progress is kept on the watch and survives app updates. Uninstalling the app resets it; you can restore your total with the "Ascent already done" setting. Open the app or check its glance at least once a week. The watch only keeps 7 days of history. An optional hourly background update usually does this for you. Earlier days are counted from the watch's floors climbed (1 floor = 3 m), so their total may differ slightly from Garmin Connect. No account, no internet, no data leaves your watch.
