Radar Watch: three aircraft sweep the dial with radar trails behind them, an An-225 Mriya for the hours, a flying wing for the minutes and a tiltrotor for the seconds, around a compass rose. An aviation watch face for Garmin's round AMOLED and 64-colour MIP watches. Each hand is an aircraft on its own ring of a radar screen, trailing a fading radar sweep: the An-225 on the outer ring with 12, 3, 6 and 9, the flying wing on the middle ring with 60, 15, 30 and 45, the tiltrotor in the inner disc while the watch is awake. A red line marks the leading edge of the minute trail. Nothing else: no digital time, no date, no steps, no battery, no notifications. Just the time, read like a radar scope. SIX COLOURS Orange (the original design), Radar green, Amber, Cyan, Red and Ice white. Choose in the Connect IQ app on your phone, or on the watch: in the watch face list, pick Radar Watch, then Customize and Colour. Each press steps to the next colour, and the face shows it when you go back. The red minute line stays red in every colour. ALWAYS-ON (AMOLED) The always-on display keeps the inner rings, the numerals and the hour and minute aircraft in a dim tone, under 5 % of the screen lit, moving a few pixels each minute. The trails and the seconds return when you raise your wrist. ON THE 64-COLOUR MIP WATCHES The same dial in the watch's palette, the trails fading through a fine checker pattern. The full face stays on; in low power the seconds rest and the minute aircraft moves once a minute. On the fēnix 6 Pro line (Connect IQ 3.4) the trails fade in fewer steps. PRIVACY Radar Watch asks for no permissions. It reads the time and your colour choice, nothing else: no location, no sensors, no internet access, no companion app, no accounts, no analytics, no ads. IF YOUR WATCH SHOWS "IQ!" AFTER INSTALLING OR UPDATING That is the watch's own install step, not the face. Open the watch face list on the watch and select Radar Watch again. It runs normally from then on. Works on fēnix 6 Pro, 6S Pro and 6X Pro; fēnix 7, 7S and 7X, also Pro and Pro Solar; fēnix 8, 8 Pro and 8 Solar; fēnix 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro Solar; fēnix E; epix (Gen 2) and epix Pro; Enduro 2, 3 and 4; Forerunner 70, 165, 170, 255, 255S, 265, 265S, 570, 955, 965 and 970; Venu 2, 2S, 2 Plus, 3, 3S, 4, Sq 2 and X1; vívoactive 5 and 6; Instinct 3 AMOLED; MARQ (Gen 2); D2 Air X15, D2 Mach 1 and 2, also Pro; Descent Mk3, Mk3i and G2; Approach S50, S70 and S72; quatix 7 and 8; tactix Delta, 7 and 8. The radar trails and the compass rose are decoration: the rose does not point north, and nothing on this face is a radar, a compass or a navigation aid. The hour aircraft goes round once in 12 hours.
