Race Face is a full-screen race data field for Garmin Edge. It shows the numbers you need to decide in the moment: 3-second power against your critical power (CP), W' balance with time-to-empty at your current effort, your heart-rate zone as a second brake, live grade and the grade over the next 500 m, and the time, distance and climbing to the next crest when a route profile is loaded. A compact bottom row keeps timer, remaining distance, remaining ascent and temperature. Monochrome and glanceable: black on white, big numbers, no clutter. How to read it: the power figure turns into a black box while you are above CP (burning W'); the W' bar drains from the right and the number next to it shows minutes:seconds until empty at your current effort, or kJ left while recovering; the heart-rate tag fills in zone 5; below 10 % W' the whole screen inverts and the frame blinks. Requirements: a power meter (for W' balance) and a heart-rate sensor. Optional: an Edge course for remaining distance and next-point grade, or a route profile string pasted into the settings for the mini profile and crest ETA. Settings (Garmin Connect app): critical power, W', alarm threshold, heat correction, grade window, lap power metric (normalized or average), route profile, temperature on/off.
