DESCRIPTION Hunting Light is a simple, easy-to-read watch face for hunters. It shows shooting light, sunrise and sunset for where you are today, plus the solunar major and minor periods. Shooting light runs from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset by default. You can change the number of minutes from 0 to 60 in the watch face settings, on the watch or in the Connect IQ phone app. At a glance you see: The current time in large numbers. SHOOTING LIGHT with IN or OUT and a countdown to when it starts or ends, for example ENDS 42m. LIGHT: today's shooting light start and end times. SUN: today's sunrise and sunset times. The next solunar period, for example MAJOR 1:03a-3:03a, or MINOR NOW ENDS 23m while one is on. An outer ring that shows the whole day, with the shooting light window, a marker for the current time and blue marks for the solunar periods of the next 24 hours. The date. Solunar periods: major periods are about 2 hours centered on when the moon is overhead or underfoot, and minor periods are about 1 hour centered on moonrise and moonset. On the ring, major periods are wide marks and minor periods are narrow marks. They are calculated on the watch from the moon's position for your location. You can turn them off with the Show solunar setting. It works anywhere. Times are calculated on the watch from your GPS location and the date, with no data connection needed. The watch face uses the most recent location your watch has, or the location from your phone. If it has never had one, it shows WAITING FOR GPS; start any GPS activity once to get a location. Also included: 12 and 24 hour time, a dim always-on display, accent colors and a red night mode (touch and hold the face to switch it). Hunting Light shows times only. It does not tell you whether hunting is allowed. Shooting hours, seasons and other rules are set by each state and can differ from these times. Always check your state's regulations before you hunt. Location stays on your watch. Hunting Light has no server and sends nothing anywhere. WHAT'S NEW IN 1.0.5 Solunar periods are back. It now uses your watch's last known location, or your phone's location, and shows your times right away. Your last location is remembered after a restart. If it is more than a day old, a small LAST GPS note shows its age. If no location has ever been available, the face says START AN ACTIVITY TO GET GPS. The light ring is now bigger and reaches right to the edge of the screen, and the time is a little larger.
