Marathon Enthusiast NYC turns your weekly mileage into your own Marathon through the city of New York. Every step you take nudges a tiny runner further along the real 42.195km course — out of Staten Island, over the Verrazzano into Brooklyn, up through Queens and onto First Avenue, a quick loop through the Bronx, and back down through Manhattan to the finish line in Central Park. The checkpoints are: 5K, 10K, 15K, the half, 25K, 30K, 35K, and the finish, each lighting up green the moment your week's running catches up to it. Run enough in a week, and your runner makes it all the way home, start to finish, right on your wrist. Fall short, and they simply wait where they stopped, ready to pick up again once your new week starts. No progress bar, no percentage to do math on — just a runner, a little further along the five boroughs than they were yesterday. Alongside the course, the essentials stay close at hand: the time, the date, your heart rate, battery, today's distance, and today's steps, each in a clean box with a soft contour so they stay legible whether your runner's crossing a bridge or cutting through the park. Built for AMOLED touchscreen watches, with a minimal always-on display, just a dim, quietly shifting clock, so the battery lasts and the marathon is still there the moment you glance down.
