The time sits in a rounded box with the date, in Red Hat Mono, on warm black with a terracotta accent. Under it, an asterisk spinner turns a frame a minute beside a verb: Pondering, Brewing, Noodling, Percolating, twenty-four of them, a new one every minute and never the same twice running. Your goals hang off it as a to-do list. Each line is a checkbox, an icon, your progress and the goal your watch keeps: steps, floors and weekly intensity minutes to start, or Body Battery, battery or stress. A goal you meet is ticked and struck through; the first one still open is the one in progress. At the bottom, a prompt box with a steady cursor, and battery and alerts at the top. Five themes: Clay, Ivory (a light terminal), Sage, Iris and Mono. On memory-in-pixel screens every theme is drawn for 64 colours. The always-on mode keeps the time and the thinking line. The cursor does not blink, because a blink would wake the watch every second.
