HILLFACTOR — know whether distance and ascent are putting you ahead or behind your plan. Flat pace misses the work of climbing. HillFactor is a high-contrast data field for hiking, trail running, fell running and ultras. It shows your cumulative Naismith factor, compares it with a target you choose and turns the difference into a clear AHEAD, ON TARGET or BEHIND status. WHAT YOU GET - Large Naismith factor percentage - Signed target time delta - AHEAD, ON TARGET and BEHIND labels in addition to color - Adjustable target from 25% to 200% - Optional factor chart in the saved FIT activity - High-contrast mode for MIP and AMOLED displays HOW TO READ IT A lower factor means faster progress. For example, 100% means your elapsed time matches the classic Naismith estimate for the distance and ascent completed so far. At a 100% target, -4:12 means you are 4 minutes 12 seconds ahead; +3:08 means you are behind by that amount. HillFactor waits for enough distance and estimated effort before showing a target status. SETUP Add HillFactor to a data screen in your Hike, Trail Run, Run, Walk or compatible activity. Use a one-field layout for the largest display. In Connect IQ settings, choose your target factor and whether to show the time delta. PRIVACY AND PERMISSION The Fitness & Sensor Data permission writes the factor to the FIT activity so it can appear after your workout. Distance, ascent and elapsed time come from the activity already running on your watch. ProWatchs does not receive your location, route, health data or activity. No account, ads, phone connection or internet access. IMPORTANT LIMITS HillFactor is a pacing aid, not navigation, a safety tool or a guaranteed finish-time predictor. The classic Naismith model does not account for descents, terrain, fatigue, weather or fitness. Elevation quality depends on the watch, activity and conditions. If required activity data is missing, the field shows no value instead of inventing one. Completely free. No payments, subscriptions or paid features. If HillFactor earns a place on your watch, an honest Connect IQ review helps other hikers find it.
