A little pet lives on your wrist and shows you how your day is going: it sleeps when you sleep, celebrates your step goal and yawns when your Body Battery runs low. This is the full edition of Pawbeat: eight animals in fourteen looks, four art styles and three layouts. HOW YOUR PET SHOWS YOUR DAY • Bedtime: it sleeps through your sleep hours. • On the charger: it dozes on a cushion. • Step goal reached: it celebrates for 15 minutes (or an hour, or not at all: you choose). • Walking: it trots along; the hamster runs in its wheel. • Sitting too long: it paws at the screen (you can switch this off). • Long recovery time: it lies down proudly, happy-eyed. • Heart rate up: it pants. • Stress up: it wraps itself in its tail and breathes slowly. • Groggy: after a low sleep score, sleepy eyes and yawns for the first hours of the day. • Refreshed: after a high sleep score, it wakes with a stretch. • Body Battery low: ears down, it yawns. • Body Battery high: it stands tall, bright-eyed. • Alert: when the air pressure is falling, ears up, eyes wide. • Anything else: it sits calmly and blinks. Groggy and refreshed need a watch that gives a sleep score (Connect IQ 6.0.2 and later). Alert needs a barometer and is just for fun, not a forecast. LITTLE EXTRAS • An umbrella in the rain, a beanie in the snow, a scarf at 5 °C (41 °F) or colder, from the weather your phone syncs. • Its ears perk when a notification has come in since you last looked. • In the half hour after sunset, a calm pet yawns. • On touchscreen watches, press and hold your pet to pet it, or hold a data field to open Garmin's own screen for it. Raise your wrist for a short moment: a wag, a blink, a yawn. In always-on mode it becomes a quiet line drawing. With no reading, your pet skips that mood and a field shows dashes, never a made-up number. WHAT YOU GET • Cat (tabby, black, white-grey, calico, tuxedo), dog (golden, black-white), fox (red, arctic), rabbit, red panda, hamster, shiba and corgi • Styles: soft illustration, pixel, neon line, soft 3D clay • Layouts: the pet alone; with a step ring and a Body Battery glow; with four data fields you pick from twelve: date, steps, heart rate, battery, battery days, Body Battery, stress, temperature, sunrise and sunset, recovery time, notifications, altitude • Animals and styles we add later, as free updates Choose it all in the Connect IQ app on your phone, along with the celebration length, the restless nudge and a battery saver that stops the wrist-raise animation. On watches with Garmin's face editor, you can switch the animal on the watch too. PRICE AND RETURNS • A one-time purchase through the Connect IQ Store. No subscription, no in-app purchases. • Garmin's 48-hour return window applies. • Try Pawbeat Free first: the tabby cat in the soft illustration style, all three layouts. GOOD TO KNOW • For recent Garmin AMOLED watches with Connect IQ 5.2 or later; the device list on this page is exact. • Sleep follows the bedtime and wake time in your Garmin user settings. • No account, no companion app, no location permission. Pawbeat collects no data. • Pawbeat is for fun. It reacts to readings your watch already takes. It doesn't measure anything itself, diagnose anything or give health advice.
