Lunar Calendar is a Vietnamese lunar calendar app for Garmin watches. The Vietnamese lunar calendar on your wrist, with the parts a wall calendar actually prints: the lunar date, the sexagenary pillars, the solar term, and the festivals that follow the moon rather than the sun. The month opens as a grid. Each square carries the solar date in white and the lunar date under it in blue, so you read both at once. The first day of a lunar month shows its month number, full moons and festival days stand out, and today is circled. Tap any day for the full card: the lunar day and month, whether that lunar month runs 29 or 30 days, whether it is a leap month, the can chi pillars for the day, the month and the year, and the solar term with the days left until the next one. Tap the card again for the six auspicious hours of that day - giờ hoàng đạo - each with the hour it runs and the deity that holds it, the same six a Vietnamese wall calendar prints. They follow the clock format the watch is set to, and the hour happening right now is marked. Festivals included: Lunar New Year, the first full moon, Cold Food, Hung Kings Day, Buddha's Birthday, the mid-year festival, the Ghost Festival, Mid-Autumn, and the Kitchen Gods. A glance from the watch face shows today's lunar date and its day pillar. Vietnamese first, English alongside. In Vietnamese you get the names as they are written at home - Tháng Giêng, Tết Nguyên đán, ngày Nhâm Tuất. In English the pillars carry their meaning - "Binh Ty · Fire Rat" - and the zodiac follows the Vietnamese order, where the fourth animal is the Cat, not the Rabbit. Switch either way inside the app, whatever language the watch itself is set to. Compatible watches: Venu 4/3/3S/2/2 Plus, vivoactive 5/6, Forerunner 165/170/265/570/70/965/970, fenix 8/8 Pro/E, epix (Gen 2)/Pro, Instinct 3 AMOLED, MARQ 2, D2 Mach 1/Mach 2/Air X10, Descent G2/Mk3, Approach S50/S70. Not supported: the first-generation Venu and vivoactive 4 (no vector fonts, so Vietnamese text loses its diacritics), and any watch under 390 pixels — the seven-column grid needs the width. No account. Nothing leaves your watch. English and Vietnamese, switchable inside the app. More Garmin apps and watch faces by LiamLee: https://heyliam.me

Auspicious hours. Tap a day card to see the six gio hoang dao for that day - the hour each one runs and the deity that holds it, the same six a Vietnamese wall calendar prints. Hours follow the watch's own 12 or 24 hour setting, and the one happening now is marked. Checked against four independent Vietnamese almanacs across six days: 36 hour slots, all matching.
