Heritage: a navy or black dial with a lower instrument cluster. Modern profiles have faceted hands and luminous inlays; Fenix 6 uses compact instruments and fitted text. 24-hour: a local hour hand making one revolution per day, a red UTC hour hand, and conventional minute and seconds hands. MAKE IT YOUR UNIT Choose Category, Aircraft, then Unit: C-17 airlift/support squadrons, 621st MSOS, historical KC-10 / 2nd ARS, C-5 / 22nd AS, and KC-135 / 171st ARS. Nose-on aircraft silhouettes; the KC-135 boom is lowered. Choose full-color or genuine OCP artwork where available, with EAS alternatives for selected squadrons and green/black night artwork. Heritage shows the squadron name under the aircraft without a patch. CHOOSE YOUR INSTRUMENTS Thirteen readings: UTC / Zulu, Home Time, Julian day / UTC, altitude, steps, heart rate, Body Battery, stress, floors climbed, calories, watch battery, Drink Time and days since voucher payment. Choose each in Customize / Gauges and metrics, including Heritage. Sensor availability varies by watch. Julian day shows aviation day-of-year 001-366, follows UTC midnight, and handles leap years. Metric subdials have calibrated scales, moving needles and central readings. Enable Keep squadron patch for a needle around the original patch ring and the exact value underneath; both enlarge together. Default off. Battery retains its original patch display. ALTITUDE WARNING Enable a visual warning in Customize / Altitude warning and choose a threshold from 100 to 50,000 feet. Red hands/numerals and ALT HIGH appear at the threshold; the warning clears 100 feet below. ALT N/A means recent elevation is unavailable. This uses watch-reported elevation, not aircraft or cabin pressure altitude, and updates while the watch face is active. Garmin watch faces cannot vibrate or sound alarms. Default: off. DAY AND NIGHT Choose brown / navy or black backgrounds. Luminous green night mode is manual or scheduled in local time. Classic / 24-hour include independent accents and an optional colored left-dial ring. PRACTICAL DETAILS 24-hour digital readings without colons. Configurable Home Time zone. Voucher payment date with adjustable green/yellow/red thresholds. Drink Time counts down from your UTC date/time using Alert or Bravo calculation, with an optional red warning. It is a planning reminder, not a fitness-for-duty assessment; follow your organization's requirements. CONTROLS Use the watch face's Customize menu for settings and separate patch-style selection. Classic / 24-hour: hold a subdial to enlarge it; hold its enlarged arrows to change the reading. Heritage: hold a panel/lower gauge to change its reading; hold the center hand pin to clear the hands for 10 seconds. Ordinary face taps/swipes are unused. Button-only watches use Customize for readings, enlargement, Return to full face, and stopwatch start/pause/reset. Airlift Classic 1.2.1 Calibrated subdial gauges: altitude, steps, heart rate, Body Battery, stress, floors, calories, watch battery and UTC Julian day now have meaningful scale markings and moving needles. UTC and Home Time use 24-hour scales. Missing sensor data does not show a made-up needle position. Altitude uses 0-45k feet (the equivalent range in meters). Existing cutoff and voucher threshold gauges remain. Keep squadron patch now preserves the battery-style patch and ring without text over the artwork. The selected metric moves its pointer around the ring, with the exact reading underneath. Enlarging the instrument also enlarges the reading. With retention off, non-battery left metrics use the same central name/value layout as the other subdials. Battery keeps its original patch display.
