Your best training window, at a glance When should I train today? Every day you weigh the weather, your body and your schedule to pick a moment. This widget answers it in one glance. It scores every hour you are available - weather first, your physiological readiness on top - and shows today's best training window, like "17-19", coloured green to red. On a split day (dry morning, wet noon, fine evening) it shows both, e.g. "07-09 & 16-19". The title tells you why: DRIEST HOURS, CALMEST HOURS, WARMEST HOURS, AFTER RECOVERY. Sharper weather, especially rain This app cross-checks it with four independent forecast models, and drives the score from the actual predicted millimetres. Wind and gusts get the same multi-model treatment. The result is a rain and wind read you can trust. What goes into the score - Rain first: the driest hours win (half of the weather score) - Temperature, relative to YOUR day: on a cold day the warmest hour wins, in a heat wave the coolest. Dew point captures muggy, hard-to-cool air. - Wind and gusts: a stiff breeze drops an hour out of the green; a storm marks the whole day DANGEROUS WEATHER - UV, and a soft daylight bonus - Readiness: your Body Battery (with its measured trend and recent stress) and the recovery time left from your last workout - Safety: thunderstorms, freezing rain, hail and ice are excluded outright Plan tomorrow, tonight From the evening you can scroll the whole next day and plan ahead. Beyond Garmin's roughly 12-hour hourly forecast the coming day is filled in from the weather models. See every hour at a glance Below the best window the coming hours are listed with a colour bar and score, each marked so you read it instantly: a sun (red when hot, blue when cold), a moon for sleep wind-down, a calendar for a meeting, a dumbbell for a planned session, a droplet for rain. Page through with up/down, tap any hour for the full breakdown. It never says no Your training plan decides IF you train - this widget only optimizes WHEN. On a bad day it still shows the least-bad window, honestly labelled, with a reason when readiness is low ("low battery, go easy"). It protects your sleep Availability comes from your Garmin sleep schedule: from wake-up until a wind-down before bedtime. Wind-down hours stay visible but are never offered. Set your week Each weekday is Off (rest day), Easy or Quality. Override a single day on the watch; overrides reset overnight. Watch face complication Show the best window as a data field on a compatible Connect IQ watch face. Optional reminder A notification 0 to 5 hours before your best window starts. Off by default. Optional calendar companion (Android) - Work in progress ( not yet published) A separate free companion app can drop hours with meetings out of your windows - even work calendars that block shared links. Only busy time blocks reach the watch, never event titles. The watch works fully without it. Privacy: Location is shared with weather providers to generate the correct weather outlook. Honest notes - Readiness is built from Body Battery, stress and recovery time. Garmin does not expose its Training Readiness score to apps. - Extra weather models are fetched from open-meteo.com using your location. Beyond about 12 hours, tomorrow is model-only (no Garmin cross-check). - Availability uses your configured Garmin sleep schedule, so set that up. - No phone or no forecast? The app still advises, using readiness alone.
