Raise your wrist and the sun comes up behind the mountains. The whole sky drifts as a cloud deck in perspective, first light creeps down the highest snowfields, the contour lines behind the title glow to life, spindrift blows off the two highest peaks and the snow sparkles. After eight seconds everything settles and the face stays perfectly still. SEVEN SCENES, SHUFFLED LIKE A DECK Each wake draws a new card: a clear morning with alpenglow · fog banks drifting between the ridges · cloud shadows gliding across the terrain · fresh snow high on the mountains · melted-out slopes with bare rock · loose snow streaming down the snowfields · a snow line creeping down while you watch. All seven come around before any repeats. THE SUN RISES IN FOUR PLACES Out on the right above the far ridge, or larger behind the big peak, in the saddle, or behind the ridge to the right — a different spot every time. When the sun is behind the mountains, the light on the right sky goes dark. REAL DATA FROM YOUR WATCH Time, date, altitude, barometric pressure with a 6-hour trend graph and trend arrow, and today's sunrise time — all from the watch's own sensors and complications. The gauge ring on the left shows Body Battery by default; choose any of 25 fields instead (heart rate, steps, calories, floors, intensity minutes, battery, stress, Pulse Ox, respiration, recovery time, notifications, temperature, high/low, altitude, pressure, sunrise, sunset, solar input, weekly run/bike distance, VO2 max, wheelchair pushes, golf score). Percentage fields fill the ring, and the field's name is written at the bottom of the face. Press and hold a field to open the watch's own page for it. 12 OR 24 HOURS — YOUR CHOICE Auto (follows your watch), 12-hour or 24-hour, in the Garmin Connect app or in the settings menu on the watch. ALWAYS-ON Time and date in a dim cool grey on black — about 1.5 % of full-white luminance, far below the AMOLED limit — shifting slightly every minute to protect the display. Nothing animates in low power. BATTERY-AWARE The animation runs for eight seconds after each wake at up to 10 frames per second and then stops completely. MADE FOR EVERY ROUND AMOLED GARMIN The artwork is rendered natively for 454, 466, 416, 390 and 360 pixel displays — nothing is scaled on the watch. LANGUAGES Settings and menus in 36 languages. The dial itself (date, labels and field names) is drawn in the face's own typeface and is shown in English.
