MoonStar is an astronomical watch face: a photographic moon at the real phase of the day, surrounded by five curved gauges, on a true black background. MOON • Photographic moon drawn at today's phase (30 steps), with a halo leaning toward the lit side and a starfield • Date curved above the moon, phase name and illumination below it • Turned upside down in the southern hemisphere: automatic from your location, or forced north or south TIME • Curved digital time with seconds, and a satellite orbiting the moon with the seconds • 12/24-hour format follows your watch settings DATA • 5 curved gauges around the dial, each showing one of 30 data fields or nothing: steps, heart rate, resting heart rate, battery, Body Battery, calories, stress, floors climbed, intensity minutes (day and week), distance, weekly running and cycling distance, respiration, Pulse Ox, recovery time, notifications, temperature, precipitation chance, humidity, sunrise, sunset, moon illumination, solar intensity, day, week and year progress, UV index, feels-like temperature and altitude • Adjustable goals: calories, daily distance, weekly running and cycling distance, heart rate range • Distances in km or miles and temperature in °C or °F, following your watch settings • On touchscreen watches, touch and hold a gauge to open the matching screen STYLE • 28 color palettes: multicolor, monochrome, two-tone and neutral (pure white, graphite, and Focus, which dims the gauges to bring out the moon and the time) • Starfield, moon halo, seconds and seconds orbit can each be turned off • Customize from the Garmin Connect app or directly on the watch ALWAYS-ON • Low-power mode on AMOLED watches: dithered moon, gauge ticks, date, phase and time, or the time alone, shifted every minute to protect the display • On MIP (memory-in-pixel) watches: the screen never turns off, the full face stays on while the watch sleeps, without the seconds Some data depend on your watch model (solar intensity, weekly distances, recovery time…); data your watch does not provide shows "--".
