Retro LCD brings the look of a vintage 80s digital watch to your Garmin. Cream LCD panel, black ink, chunky seven-segment digits and a square, technical layout — everything is drawn with sharp vector shapes, so it stays crisp on every screen.
THE SECONDS RING
Around the main panel runs a ring of 60 ticks, one for every second. They appear one by one as the minute goes by and reset when a new minute starts. Prefer something else? Switch the ring to a battery gauge, a step-goal gauge, a static decoration, or hide it.
AT A GLANCE
• Large time with a blinking colon, 12h / 24h
• Current temperature (from Garmin Weather)
• Day of the week, day number and month
• Distance covered today
• Compass-style icon that rotates with your heading when the watch has one available
• Phone-connected indicator, notification bell and sound / Do Not Disturb icon
RIGHT-HAND COLUMN
Choose between the classic retro labels (pure decoration) or live data: distance, heart rate, steps, battery and altitude.
COLORS
Cream, LCD green, amber, ice blue or white — plus a one-tap light/dark invert.
BATTERY FRIENDLY
The static layout is drawn once per minute and cached. Only the colon, the seconds ring and the optional seconds counter are redrawn each second, and only while the screen is active. No animations running in the background.
ALWAYS-ON (AMOLED)
A minimal always-on view shows only the time and date in thin strokes on pure black, and moves slightly every minute to protect the screen from burn-in.
SETTINGS
Main color · Invert light/dark · Show temperature · Show seconds · Blinking colon · 12h / 24h / watch default · Ring style · Right column (labels or live data) · Heart rate / steps / battery lines · Date language (English or Italian)
COMPATIBILITY
Designed for round displays from 208 to 466 px. Built for 118 round Garmin models, including Forerunner, fenix, epix, Venu, vivoactive, MARQ, Enduro, Instinct AMOLED, Descent, Approach and D2 series. Square, rectangular and semi-round watches are not supported.
NOTES
• Temperature needs the Garmin Weather data synced from your phone; "--" is shown when it isn't available.
• Compass direction and altitude are shown only when the watch already provides them; a watch face cannot turn on GPS or the compass by itself.
• On non-AMOLED (MIP) displays the watch updates once a minute in low-power mode, so the seconds ring is shown full until you raise your wrist.
• No special permissions required.
