Just Ring is an analog watch face built around a ring of curved data: twelve configurable fields, six of them printed along the outer ring so they follow the bezel instead of crowding the centre. LAYOUT Six fields on the outer ring, one per 60 degree segment, at 10, 12 and 2 o'clock above and at 4, 6 and 8 o'clock below, with thin separators between them. Set the field at 10 o'clock to a long value — coordinates, MGRS at 1 km or 10 m, location or weather condition — and the three top segments merge into one field spanning half the dial, separators removed, so a full MGRS reference fits at full size. Six more inside: a weather slot at the top, a line under it, one on each side of the clock row, the date row, and one at the bottom. The weather slot shows the condition icon with the temperature underneath, from Garmin or OpenWeatherMap. Analog hands over a digital HH:MM, with seconds beside it. The digital time is itself one of the slots, so you can replace it with a data field and keep the face purely analog. DATA Seventy-four options per field: steps, floors, distance, calories, active minutes, altitude, heart rate, resting heart rate, body battery, stress, respiration, SpO2, VO2 max, recovery time, sleep score, training status, weekly run and bike distance, battery percentage and days left, notifications, week number, secondary time zone, sunrise and sunset, moon rise, set and phase, solar intensity, weight, location, coordinates and MGRS. Weather from the watch or from OpenWeatherMap: condition, temperature, feels like, humidity, dew point, pressure, wind and gusts, wind direction, cloud cover, visibility, precipitation chance, rain and snow, UV index, air quality, today's minimum and maximum. Sleep score and training status come from Garmin complications and need Connect IQ 6.0.2 or later. On older firmware those two stay empty; everything else works. TOUCH On watches with a touchscreen, pressing a field opens the Garmin app behind it — steps opens the step count, heart rate opens the heart rate app, weather fields open the weather app, and so on for about thirty of them. OPENWEATHERMAP OpenWeatherMap is optional. The watch's own weather needs no setup, but it only reports current conditions. To use OpenWeatherMap you need your own API key. Create a free account at openweathermap.org, generate a key, and paste it into the watch face settings. The free tier is enough for this face. A new key can take up to two hours before it starts working, so if the fields show dashes at first, give it some time. Set how often the weather refreshes, from ten to sixty minutes. COLOURS Twenty themes, plus Custom, where every element gets its own colour: background, gradient top and bottom, foreground, labels, digital time and lines. Colours are six character hex codes, so you can match any shade rather than pick from a short list. There is a colour chart in the screenshots with the code next to each swatch. The second hand has its own picker with twenty one colours. An optional gradient background is available on AMOLED watches. The bezel carries a fine machined texture of concentric rings. OTHER SETTINGS - minute tick ring on or off - hour and minute hands on or off, second hand on or off - weather icons as images or font glyphs - wind direction arrow on the tick ring, colour coded by Beaufort scale - auto-colour values by how good they are, so a low battery or a high stress reading stands out - always on display: time only, or the full layout - six date formats, and an option to force day and month names to English - pressure in mmHg, mbar or inHg; wind in m/s, km/h, mph or knots - secondary time zone, including half hour offsets NOTES Position comes from the watch GPS, or from the last known location when GPS is off. Location, coordinates, MGRS, sunrise, sunset and the moon times all use it. If a field shows dashes, the watch has no data for it yet: weather needs a phone sync, position fields need a GPS fix.
