True offline navigation on your watch Want to get to an address, back to your car, to the nearest supermarket or to a saved destination? RealOfflineNavigation calculates the route directly on your watch. No route transferred in advance. No phone in your pocket. No mobile signal needed. Once your area map is on the watch, you choose a destination and are guided there from your current location. The watch calculates the route itself and can reroute if you take a detour. What can the app do? - Navigation to addresses with house numbers - Navigation to your own destinations such as home, work or your parking spot - Selection of nearby places and POIs - Navigation on foot, by bike or by car - Automatic recalculation if you leave the route - Large, easy-to-read turn arrow with distance - Map view with route, streets and your own position - Street and house number search directly on the watch The map contains streets, paths, addresses, house numbers and important places in your personal area. After the map transfer, navigation works without a phone and without internet. If your current location is outside the loaded area, the watch first shows you the direction and distance to the map. As soon as you are back in the area, navigation to your chosen destination starts automatically. Try it for free first Every watch gets a free test area of about 7 km² once. In countries using miles, that is about 3.1 mi². This lets you try out setup, map transfer, search and navigation in your own surroundings. Your area as an offline map Of course, you can also have a much larger map of your surroundings created, calculated individually for your watch’s available capacity. How large it is depends on the street density: in a big city the area is smaller, in the countryside considerably larger. The map can cover up to about 6,400 km² or 2,456 mi². The watch has room for one map at a time. For a holiday or another place, simply load a new area. Purchased maps are kept for twelve months and can be loaded onto the same watch again free of charge during that time. For setup, purchase and map transfer you need your phone and Wi-Fi. After that, the watch navigates on its own. Note for some older models On the following watches, navigation is fully available, but the map view is not: - Forerunner 745 - Forerunner 945 LTE - Descent Mk2 and Mk2i - Descent Mk2 S - MARQ Golfer, 1st generation These models reliably guide you to your destination with the large turn arrow, distances and automatic recalculation. Selecting addresses, your own destinations and POIs works as well. Only the additional map view is not available on these watches. Beta version: your feedback helps RealOfflineNavigation is new and has been developed with great care. Most of the supported watches could be tested on real hardware. Some models were only available in the simulator, which may behave differently from the watch itself in some respects. Set up your map without GPS: you can now start from your sofa. Choose "Enter address on phone" on the watch, then type your address on your phone. No fixed address? Just tap your home on the map. Prefer GPS? Choose "Locate with GPS" as before. While your map is being calculated, you now see the progress and about how long it will take.
