Track your breathing rate on your watch, live, while you train. BreezeLabs Tracking is a data field that connects your Garmin to the BreezeLabs app on your iPhone. Start your activity on the watch and measurement starts on the phone automatically — no tapping through your phone mid-workout. Your breathing rate appears on your watch as you run, and is saved into the activity so you can review it afterwards in Garmin Connect. REQUIRES • An iPhone with the BreezeLabs app installed, paired to your watch in Garmin Connect • Headphones connected to your iPhone — breathing is measured from audio • Bluetooth enabled, phone within range during the activity An Android version is not currently available. WHAT IT DOES • Starts, pauses, resumes and stops the measurement on your phone in step with the activity timer on your watch — press Start on the watch and that is the last time you need to touch your phone. • Shows your live breathing rate in breaths per minute, updating as you move. • Shows the phone's current state above the value — Recording, Paused, Headphones lost, No phone — so you can tell at a glance whether the measurement is actually running. • Records breathing rate into the FIT file every second. After the activity it appears in Garmin Connect as a Breathing Rate chart alongside your pace and heart rate. SETUP 1. Install the BreezeLabs app on your iPhone and connect your watch in the app's settings. 2. Add BreezeLabs Tracking as a data field to a data screen on the activity profile you want to use. 3. Start the activity as usual. Measurement begins on its own. READING THE FIELD The large number is your breathing rate in breaths per minute. Two dashes mean no recent reading — usually the phone is out of range, the app has been closed, or the headphones have come out. The status line above the value tells you which. Delivery is confirmed by the phone, and the watch resends if a message goes missing, so a brief Bluetooth dropout at the start or end of an activity will not lose your measurement. Breathing rate is not a medical measurement and is not intended to diagnose, treat or monitor any medical condition.
