Popis

Nightcheck keeps a birth clock for every cow, heifer, ewe, doe, mare, sow or gilt that starts to give birth. You start it when the water bag or feet appear, and the watch counts the minutes without progress against a check time for that species and that animal's first or later birth, taken from published extension guidance (for example 60 minutes for a heifer and 30 for a cow). It vibrates a few minutes before that point and again when it is reached, and it suggests when to take a look. It is an aid only: your veterinarian decides what to do, and every check time can be changed to what your vet advises. Around the births it plans the season. From the breeding date it works out the expected birth date for each species (283 days for cattle, 147 for sheep, 150 for goats, 340 for horses, 114 for pigs, all adjustable), lists who is due in the next 7 days and who is overdue, and from a heat it predicts the next heat on the species' cycle and the return-to-heat check after breeding. For cattle seen in heat it shows the AM/PM rule as a suggestion. The night round puts every animal that needs a look in one list, most urgent first. WHAT IT DOES - Birth clock per animal from water bag or feet, with a check time per species and first or later birth - Two short buzzes before the check time, three long buzzes when it is reached, repeat every 5 minutes if you want - Progress seen restarts the clock; for lambs, kids and piglets every birth restarts it and the total time is shown - Stage 1 timer for restless animals, with a 4-hour check suggestion for cattle - Expected birth date from the breeding date, list for the next 7 days, overdue animals - Heat prediction from the last heat (21-day cycle for cattle, goats, horses and pigs, 17 for sheep) and the return check after breeding - AM/PM rule for cattle: heat seen in the morning, AI suggested that afternoon or evening; seen later, the next morning - Night round: all animals that need a look, most urgent first - Up to 200 animals with ear tag or name (T9 keyboard), recent log, season figures: births, share assisted, young per birth, average stage 2 time per class - Glance: animals in labour with the running clock, or the next expected birth - Five languages, 12/24 h WHAT IT NEEDS - The app open on the watch during a birth: the clock and the vibration only run while it is open - Your own check times if your vet uses different ones (Settings) - Sources for the default values: Ohio State University Beef Team and Oklahoma State University, Iowa Beef Center, Cornell University, Iowa State University Extension, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Pork Information Gateway, NADIS, Mississippi State University Extension, New Mexico State University, MSD Veterinary Manual, OMAFRA, Purdue University, University of Kentucky
