Popis
HorseCare Live shows your horse's live training metrics from the HorseCare app right on your Garmin watch, so you can keep your eyes on the track instead of your phone.
IMPORTANT: this is a companion app. It does not work on its own. You need:
- the HorseCare app on your phone with Live mode enabled,
- HorseCare sensors on your horse,
- your watch paired with the Garmin Connect app on the same phone.
Without a running HorseCare Live mode session the watch shows "Waiting for phone".
WHAT YOU SEE
Ride page
- Heart rate in large digits, coloured by the current heart rate zone
- Heart rate arc with a marker for the rider's reserve limit and the horse's maximum
- Distance passed and distance left in the current segment, with a progress arc
- Current speed and the difference from the recommended speed (green, amber or red)
Horse energy page
- Power per heartbeat (W/BPM)
- Energy per 100 m (kJ/100m)
- Gait asymmetry with a colour scale based on your horse's threshold
Alerts
- "HR above reserve / Slow down" when heart rate crosses the reserve limit
- "Asymmetry above threshold / Walk" when asymmetry crosses the horse's threshold
- Each alert vibrates and turns on the backlight. Press any button (or tap, on watches without Up/Down buttons) to hide it for 30 seconds; it comes back if the condition is still active.
Status screens tell you when the phone is not connected, when data stops arriving ("No link"), and when the training has finished.
CONTROLS
- Up / Down buttons switch between the two pages.
- On touch watches without Up / Down buttons, swipe up / down instead.
- Back exits the app.
The app is designed to be used with gloves: on watches with buttons, touch input is ignored.
HOW TO START
1. Install HorseCare Live on your watch.
2. In the HorseCare phone app, open More, then Live display, then Connect Garmin watch, and choose your watch.
3. Start a training with Live mode on. The phone opens HorseCare Live on the watch automatically; confirm the prompt on the watch if asked.
TIPS
- To keep the screen visible during a ride on AMOLED watches, enable Always On display for activities and increase the backlight timeout in the watch settings.
- All calculations happen in the HorseCare app on your phone. The watch only displays the data and does not record an activity.
PRIVACY
HorseCare Live only receives data from the HorseCare app on your phone. It does not send any data from the watch and does not collect personal information.
