Popis
Train Face is a full-screen data field for structured workouts on the Edge 530.
What you see during a step:
- The step's target metric, big: 3 s power for power steps, heart rate for heart-rate steps, cadence for cadence steps. Outside the target range the number is shown inverted with an arrow (up = raise, down = lower).
- The target range as digits (e.g. 260-280 W) and as a bar with a pointer for the current value and a marker for the step's normalized power.
- Time left in the step with an honest progress bar; inverted in the last 5 seconds. Distance steps count down in km, open steps count up.
- The next step is always visible: type, duration and target. After each step a 3 s summary shows the step NP and the share of time on target.
- Heart rate with zone, cadence, kJ, running TSS and workout time.
- A strip of past, current and next steps at the bottom.
- Without a loaded workout the same screen works as a lap page: lap time, lap average and NP, last lap.
Settings (Garmin Connect app or Garmin Express): FTP (needed to convert %FTP targets to watts and for TSS), step power number (normalized power or average), power averaging (1/3/10 s), out-of-range delay, fast-start flag, indoor low-cadence alert, step summary duration, strip history window, TSS on/off.
Notes: heart-rate zones come from the device profile. No sounds: the Edge's own step alerts stay in charge. Requires a power meter for power targets. Monochrome by design for readability in sunlight; follows the device's day/night theme. Add it as a 1-field data screen: Activity Profile, Data Screens, Connect IQ.
