US AND WORLDWIDE. Tides come from NOAA in the US, and from more than 1,400 tide gauges in over 90 countries elsewhere (the TICON-4 dataset). The tide needs the free DigiTides Tide Charts app: that app downloads the tides; this face displays them. Install both, then open Tide Charts once to choose your station. Until it has run, the tide row shows "--" and the water rests at mid-tide. The waterline rises and falls with the tide, the time stands on it with its reflection in the water below, and the sun crosses the sky above. Only two things are written on it: the sun and the next tide. ON THE FACE • Large clock with live seconds, reflected in the water • A waterline that moves with the tide: high on the screen at high water, low at low water • Next tide: an arrow, up for a coming high and down for a coming low, and its time • The sun on its arc, as far across the sky as the day is, with the sunset time above the clock; at night the sun is gone and the sunrise time shows COLOURS Choose the accent, the clock's colour and the background – black, navy, dark green, maroon or white. The water follows the background. The two fields are fixed: this face is about the picture. TOUCH AND HOLD Hold the sun time to open the watch's own sunset or sunrise screen. Hold the tide, or the water, to open DigiTides Tide Charts at its full chart and seven-day list. SETTINGS On fenix 8, fenix 9, fenix E and Enduro 3, the colours are in the watch's own face editor. On fenix 7, epix Pro (Gen 2), Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965, they are in the face's Customize menu and the Garmin Connect app. Units and 12/24-hour time follow your watch's own settings, so there is nothing to set. Also: military format for 24-hour time (0915). On AMOLED watches the always-on screen keeps the time, the waterline and the tide, dimmed on black to protect the display. Prefer more on the screen?
