Wristling is a tiny pixel pet that lives on your watch and grows with your everyday activity. Your steps feed it. It dozes off at the bedtime set in your user profile. When your stress level runs high it gets frazzled, and it perks up when your energy is good. Hatch it with 5,000 steps. About a week after the egg appears, your sprout grows up into the kind of mover you are: a Goat if you climb lots of floors, a Sprinter if you rack up intensity minutes, a Wanderer if you just keep walking. What will yours become? Tap the screen (or press UP or DOWN) and it jumps for joy, unless it is fast asleep. It blinks, looks around and hops about on its own, under a sky that follows the time of day. Take it for a walk from the menu (press START). The walk is recorded as a normal walking activity, and every whole kilometre of a saved walk earns it a treat. Having a slow day while your energy is low or your stress is high? It rests with you instead of getting upset. Stay under a quarter of your step goal for five days running, though, and it goes foraging until you reach half your goal again. It never dies. Good to know • Wristling is a game for fun. It is not a medical or health product and does not diagnose, monitor or treat anything. • It reads the steps, step goal, floors, intensity minutes, stress and energy levels your watch already records, plus the bedtime in your user profile. It does not track sleep. • Walks use GPS and heart rate, and are saved as normal activities that sync to Garmin Connect like any other. • Stress and energy need a watch that records them. • Your pet catches up whenever you open the app. Open it on days you feel run down so it knows to rest with you. • Privacy: Wristling itself sends nothing anywhere. No account, no ads, no analytics, no phone connection needed. • Free, with no in-app purchases. Wristling was inspired by my two daughters, and it is dedicated to them. Works on the fēnix 7, fēnix 8 and fēnix 9 series and the vívoactive 6, as listed on this page.
