GUIDE: https://www.petrrezek.net/en/garmin/trailrace/#guide PRO version - the whole race route on the watch, off-route warning, no LAP presses, 14 days free: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/b8c3367d-0e80-4efc-a53c-5e18200f1469 Plan generator: https://petrrezek.net/trailrace-generator.html SUPPORT development (the app is free): https://buymeacoffee.com/petrrezek TrailRace+ - race-day command center for ultra & trail running. One data field that answers the three questions that decide a long race: When do I reach the next aid station? Am I going to make the cutoff? When do I eat and drink? CHECKPOINTS & AID STATIONS - Enter your race plan once - the field guides you checkpoint by checkpoint - Distance and live ETA to the next aid station, with service icons: water, iso drink, cola, gel, food, soup, drop bag, toilets, first aid, resting - Progress bar with checkpoint dots, and remaining climb (D+) to the next one CUTOFFS - THE HEART OF IT - Live countdown of your reserve vs. the official cutoff - REQUIRED PACE: the slowest pace that still makes the cutoff - Green / amber / red at a glance, full-screen vibrating alert when time gets tight - The reserve counts the climbing ahead (100 m up = 1 km flat): the warning comes below the hill, not halfway up PACING THAT DOESN'T LIE - Press LAP at each aid station: it logs your split AND snaps the distance to the official course marker, so GPS drift stops corrupting your ETAs - Every press answers on screen: "CP2 OK -230 m" with the checkpoint's name, or "NO CP NEARBY" for a stray press. Wrong checkpoint after getting lost? Another press while the confirmation is up switches one checkpoint back - A checkpoint passed without LAP stays "open" - a late press at the real station still snaps the course - Rolling 10-minute pace instead of a whole-race average FUELING COACH - Eat & drink reminders on your schedule, full-screen with vibration - Custom reminders in one line: Salt|45; Caffeine|120|75 - each with its own interval and start, one-shot timers too (Headlamp|0|300) - Custom messages at any kilometer ("Only a marathon to go!") - Per-category alert signals: reminders, checkpoints and cutoffs each with their own tone and vibration pattern - Off / Vibration only / Vibration + tone / Tone only / Silent AFTER THE RACE - Garmin Connect: checkpoint splits with your cutoff margin and aid-station time, a required-speed chart, finish margin BUILT TO BE READ AT A GLANCE - Every value is bold and sized to read mid-stride, not shrunk to fit more in - Distance and cutoff margin are the two big numbers; your pace and the pace you NEED sit side by side - Tight on the cutoff? The margin fills amber, then red with inverted digits once you are past it - readable even if you are colour-blind - Optional bottom row: heart rate coloured by HR zone, plus a battery gauge - Dark or light theme (light has its own palette). Works in any activity, in full / half / small layouts. Metric & statute. In 20 languages. SETUP 1. Add TrailRace+ to a data screen: hold MENU → Data Screens → a 1-field layout → Connect IQ → TrailRace+. 2. Alerts show on the TrailRace+ screen out of the box. To also get them over other screens (map): hold MENU → activity settings → Alerts → Add New → Connect IQ Data Fields → TrailRace+ → On. 3. Turn Auto Lap OFF but keep the Lap Key on - LAP is the checkpoint signal (an auto-lap guard is the backup). 4. Enter the race plan (app settings), one checkpoint per ";" : km|name|cutoff HH:MM|WFB|D+ e.g. 12.4|Rozdrozi|13:30|WF|420; 26.8|Chata|16:00|WFB|780; 42|Finish|20:00||1150 W=water I=iso C=cola G=gel F=food S=soup B=drop bag T=WC D=first aid R=rest. Empty cutoff = no limit. Last entry = finish. 5. Optional: eat/drink reminder intervals, custom reminders (Salt|45; Headlamp|0|300), cutoff shift for a delayed start, climb weight, custom messages (21=Only a marathon to go!), theme, units. Permissions: FIT recording, sensor history (temperature), user profile (HR zones), data field alerts.

Co je nového

1.7 - 2026-10-14 - Vibration your way: each alert type can have its own pattern (four short pulses, double, triple long, one long, heartbeat, or your own in milliseconds), plus a Strong level with longer pulses played twice - so you notice the alert among the watch's other beeps on the run. - Cutoffs after the start: write +3:00 in the plan for "3 hours after the start". The watch counts it from the moment you start the activity, so a delayed start needs no cutoff shift. Most races publish cutoffs as a time of day - that stays the default. - Fixed: in long races a cutoff 18-30 hours after the start (e.g. 25:30 with a 6:00 start) was read as already passed - NEED showed "--:--" and a critical cutoff from the first kilometre. - The pre-race screen also counts your custom messages. 1.6.2 - 2026-10-08 - 14 more watches: fēnix 9, fēnix 9 Pro and Pro Solar (43, 47 and 51 mm), D2 Mach 2 and Mach 2 Pro, Forerunner 265S and Forerunner 70, Venu 2S, Instinct Crossover AMOLED and Descent G2 - 61 watches in all. - New: TrailRace+ PRO with the whole race route on the watch - checkpoints pass on their own, OFF ROUTE warning, 14 days free. Link at the top of the description. - Japanese: texts drawn on the watch show in English (the watch font has no Japanese characters). Swedish and Norwegian say tidsgräns / tidsgrense instead of cutoff. 1.6 - 2026-09-15 - The reserve and finish time count the climbing ahead (100 m up = 1 km on the flat, the ITRA and UTMB rule): the warning comes below the hill, not halfway up, and a slow climb no longer triggers a false CRITICAL CUTOFF. Adjust the ratio in the new Climb weight setting (0 = distance only). - More in Garmin Connect: cutoff margin and aid-station time for every lap, a required-speed chart and the finish margin in the summary. Aid-station time is now in minutes. - Fixed: the LAP confirmation (CP OK) is no longer covered by a CRITICAL CUTOFF alert or the next checkpoint's announcement right after the press. - Fixed: a signal set to Off really turns its alerts off from the start of the activity. 1.5 - 2026-08-30 - LAP always answers on screen: a matched press confirms itself ("CP2 OK -230 m" with the checkpoint's name and the applied correction); a press out of range shows "NO CP NEARBY". Confirmations hold for 20 s, so they outlive the watch's own lap banner. - Got lost and the confirmation named the wrong checkpoint? Another press while it is up steps one checkpoint back and recalibrates immediately; a press during "NO CP NEARBY" snaps onto the last passed checkpoint. Field-tested. - A checkpoint passed without LAP stays "open" until halfway to the next one - a late press at the real station still snaps the course. Past the plan mark the distance runs into blue negatives ("-230 m") instead of a dead zero. - The Auto Lap guard now counts the way Garmin does (1 km after the last lap, not on a fixed grid) - manual presses no longer let automatic laps slip through it. - Per-category alerts: for reminders, checkpoints and cutoffs you pick Off / Vibration only / Vibration + tone / Tone only / Silent separately; each category has its own tone and vibration pattern (1 / 2 / 3 pulses). Reminders due at the same moment arrive as one combined alert ("EAT! + DRINK!"). The choices are new - set them again after the update. - Readability: lighter blue digits in direct sunlight, and the alert ring draws seamless and anti-aliased.
