Your heart rate as a colored graph, for the whole activity, on a dark background. Zone HR Graph is a data field. It draws every heart rate sample from the moment you press start, colors each bar by the heart rate zone it falls in, and keeps the whole session on screen. WHAT IT SHOWS - Current heart rate, large, colored by the zone you are in - One bar per sample, colored blue through green to red as the zones climb - Gridlines drawn at your own zone boundaries - Minimum, average and maximum for the session Zone thresholds come from your own Garmin user profile, and they follow the sport: running zones on a run, cycling zones on a ride, swimming zones in the pool. If you have not set sport-specific zones, it uses your general ones. SETTINGS In Garmin Connect, open your device, then Connect IQ Apps, then Zone HR Graph. - Color theme — dark, light, or follow the activity screen - Time shown — whole activity, or the last 5, 10 or 30 minutes - Color by heart rate zone — on or off - Show min / avg / max — on or off ADDING IT TO A DATA SCREEN Connect IQ fields are added by replacing a field on a screen you already have. The "Add New" screen flow does not list them at all. 1. From the watch face press START and choose your activity, but do not start it 2. Hold UP or MENU 3. Data Screens, then choose an existing screen 4. Layout, then choose a 1- or 2-field layout — a graph in a 4-field layout is a sliver 5. Data Fields, a separate entry from Layout 6. Choose the field position to replace 7. Scroll the category list to Connect IQ, then Zone HR Graph It is designed for a single-field, full-screen layout and looks best there. NOTES It uses whatever heart rate source your watch is already using, wrist or a paired strap, so there is nothing to pair and nothing to configure. Nothing leaves the watch. The field reads your heart rate and your zone settings on the device and draws them. No network access, no account, no data collection. This is a training display for judging effort during a session.
