Stay Healthy & Motivated: Smart Vitamin D Estimator Gamify your sun exposure! Powered by a realistic biological algorithm based on peer-reviewed clinical research, this widget estimates your Vitamin D synthesis in real-time based on environmental data, sun position, and your personal stats. Smart Exposure & UV Control The algorithm dynamically calculates your synthesis based on real-time Garmin Weather data. Manual UV Override: Ultimate control for situations your watch can't detect! Indoors/In a Car: Window glass blocks 100% of UVB rays. Set Manual UV to 0. Beach Mode (Swimwear): Standard modes assume summer clothing. If you are in swimwear, your skin exposure is roughly 3x higher. To compensate, multiply the current UV index by 3 using Manual Mode. If you take the watch off to sunbathe, simply leave the app open on the screen to continue tracking! Astronomical Safeguards: To maintain realism, manual UV is automatically capped based on precise sunrise and sunset times for your GPS location. Offline Support: Devices temporarily without Weather API access will operate seamlessly via this Manual UV mode. Adaptive Temperature Logic The app dynamically adjusts to the outdoor temperature, estimating how your clothing affects skin exposure: Cold Mode (below 10°C / 50°F): Optimized for winter gear (jackets, scarves) - minimal skin exposure. Mild Mode (10°C - 20°C / 50°F - 68°F): Designed for spring/autumn attire (long sleeves, trousers). Warm Mode (Above 20°C / 68°F): Calculated for summer clothing (t-shirts, shorts) - standard efficiency. (Tip: Use the UP/DOWN buttons or touch to manually switch modes). Personalized Precision & Smart Protection Dynamic Goals: Your UI progress bar and daily status (Critical, Normal, Reserve) adapt to your specific body weight and metabolic burn rate. Auto-Skin Type: The app automatically determines your skin type based on your GPS latitude for accuracy (manual override available). Off-Wrist Protection: The background engine detects your heart rate. If the watch is taken off and put in a bag, tracking stops to prevent fake stats. DANGER Zone Tracking: If your generation exceeds 400% of your metabolic baseline, the UI triggers a red DANGER status. Vitamin D synthesis realistically drops by 80% and eventually stops, preventing fake "infinite" generation and warning you about sunburn risk. PRO Features: The Reserve Bank & History ($1.99) Unlock the full potential with the PRO version: The Vitamin D Bank: You start with a 5,000 IU reserve. Your body constantly "spends" Vitamin D. See your Total Bank (capped at a realistic 50,000 IU) and your Autonomy in Days to know exactly how long your reserves will last without sun! Live Metabolic Pulse: See your exact synthesis rate directly on the PRO screen (e.g., -1.5 IU/m or +14.2 IU/m). 10-Day Statistics: Track your progress with a synced history chart showing your performance over the last 10 days, with DANGER days automatically highlighted in red. Background Operation The widget accurately tracks data in the background. Important: After updating or rebooting your watch, please open the widget/glance at least once to wake up the background tracking engine! Version 2.5: New Daily Analytics Screen. New Daily Analytics Screen (Not supported on Fenix 6 series and Enduro 1) We added a new screen that recommends the best and safest time to go outside to get Vitamin D. The app automatically evaluates cloud cover, UV index, and temperature (to account for clothing) to find the perfect window. Green column: Optimal and safest time to go out. Red column: Dangerous UV levels (avoid). Gray column: Cloudy weather or minimal UV. Daily Reminder (CRIT) for PRO users Added an option in the settings menu to set a daily reminder. The app will notify you to go outside if your Vitamin D level is still in the CRITICAL zone. UI and Stability Improvements Improved background engine stability for older devices.
