A split-flap clock as big as the watch, dressed as a vintage circus harlequin: painted diamonds, stripes of colour and a ring of marquee lights, joyful rather than spooky. The hours and minutes sit on two flip cards that fill almost the whole dial, each card its own colour with a cream border, and the digits in bold cream circus-poster type with a drop shadow, split at the hinge like a real flip clock. The time follows the watch's own 12/24-hour setting. Above and below the cards runs a gauge band striped in colour, one colour for every ten on the scale. The scale itself moves behind a fixed index, and a small cream lens over the index magnifies the fine row so the exact value reads through it. Each band can show your step goal, the battery, body battery, stress, floors or weekly intensity minutes, with a dark zone where the reading warns - low charge, high stress. At the top, the date: the day on a coloured inlay, the weekday, and the month on its own plaque, in the watch's language. At the bottom, a row of number drums, each a different colour: the current temperature with a realistic weather icon - sun, cloud, rain, snow, storm, fog, or the moon at night - or, if you prefer, heart rate, calories or floors climbed, each with its own icon. Behind it all is a harlequin pattern of painted diamonds on a cream lattice, softened so the cards and stripes stand out. The index arrows end in a little gold bobble, like the bell on a jester's cap, and a ring of gold and cream marquee bulbs runs round the rim. Five colour sets change the whole dial: Carnival (crimson, gold, emerald and purple), Circus, Candy, Tutti Frutti and Seaside.
