Finish strong, then flash your wrist. Run Barcode puts your parkrun athlete barcode inside your Run activity, as a data screen of its own. No phone in your pocket, no crumpled printout, no scrambling through menus at the finish: the activity keeps recording and your barcode is one scroll away. **Why a data field?** A barcode app lives outside your run: to open it at the finish, you leave the activity first. Run Barcode is part of the run itself. Add it once as its own data screen and it is there every Saturday, between your pace and your heart rate. **Made to be scanned** - Your barcode fills the screen on a bright white panel, bars as wide as your screen allows, with the clear margins scanners need - Your athlete ID printed under the bars, just like your printed card - Your name above it, so a volunteer can tell whose code it is - Your emergency contact under it (ICE), for when it matters - Prefer QR? Switch to a QR code in one tap in the settings **Set up in a minute** 1. In Garmin Connect, open Run Barcode's settings and type your athlete ID, the A-number from your parkrun registration email (A1234567). Spaces or a missing "A" are fine, it tidies them up. 2. On the watch, add a new data screen with a single field to your Run activity and choose Run Barcode. That's it. Your barcode now runs with you. **Good to know** - Free. No ads, no account, no subscription. - Works offline: the barcode lives on your watch, your phone can stay at home. - On a screen with several fields there is no room for bars, so the field shows your athlete ID as text.
