The Earth sits at the lower left of the dial and the moon at the upper right, and a little rocket flies between them round the edge: that flight is your step goal. Each morning the rocket waits on the launch pad; as you walk it climbs over the top of the dial, a trail of puffs behind it and a dotted path ahead, and when the goal is met it lands beside the moon in a sparkle. The moon is drawn in its real phase, tonight's, worked out on the watch. Stars and a ringed planet fill the rest of the sky. The time is set large in Bungee, a bold signage typeface, with the date above it in your watch's own language. Two readings sit under the time, heart rate and steps to start with, then battery and alerts. Five missions: classic navy with a red rocket, retro teal, galaxy violet, Mars rust and night black. The rocket can fly on steps, Body Battery, intensity minutes, floors or battery instead. On memory-in-pixel screens every mission is drawn for 64 colours; on AMOLED everything is anti-aliased. The always-on mode keeps the path ahead as dots, the rocket's outline, the Earth and the moon, and the time.

Raket now speaks Polish, German, French and Spanish: its settings in Garmin Connect and this listing.
