A hex map lit by the real sun, on a free watch face for strategy-game fans. SolarDay Hex is a free special edition of SolarDay. It keeps SolarDay's Classic dial and glowing sun ring, and turns the window at the bottom into a small hex map: peaks and hills, a forest, farms, a river, a town and the sea. Free, with no time limit. Nothing on the watch asks you to buy anything. THE MAP - The real sun lights it where you are: pink at sunrise, bright by day, golden late in the day, crimson at sunset, then blue, then night with lamps in the town's windows. - Your weather falls on it: rain, snow, drifting fog, a storm with lightning, or clouds on a partly cloudy day. - Your unit walks with the sun: it starts in the east at dawn, moves a hex every hour or two, and boards a boat on the western sea in the late afternoon. After dusk it is back in town. - The unit's flag shows how strong the sun on your panel is right now: ember in weak light, white in strong sun. - Reach your step goal and your town becomes a walled city, until your steps start over at midnight. - A ship waits at the coast while you have notifications. YOUR NUMBERS - GOLD is your battery, with a coin and a bar. - PROD, for production, is your steps, with a hammer and a bar toward your step goal. - Between them: the weather and the temperature. - The sun line below: full sun today (an hour at half strength counts as 30 minutes) and your next sunrise or sunset. THE CREST: YOUR DAY IN THREE ERAS A small crest above the time changes with the sun: - A temple from midnight until the sun is at its highest. - A sailing ship from then until sunset. - A gear from sunset to midnight. - If your battery or Body Battery is 20 or lower, a flame takes its place (not under Observatory red). THE DIAL - A big LCD-style time and the date, with seconds while your watch is awake. - The ring is a 24-hour clock with noon at the top. It glows wherever your watch caught the sun today, ember in weak light, white in strong sun, and clears at midnight. - The sun rides the ring as a bead, and at night the moon takes its place, at tonight's real phase. - Made for MIP screens, to read at a glance in full sun. - 7 languages: English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Português, Nederlands. The face follows your watch, or the language you pick. GOLD and PROD stay the same in every language. - Every setting is in the Connect IQ app on your phone: SolarDay Hex, Settings. WANT THE SKY INSTEAD? SolarDay, the paid face this edition comes from, shows your sky in that window: the sun and your weather by day, your sun sign in its real stars at night. Search for SolarDay in the Connect IQ Store, or open: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/4dfc07bf-4ade-4ea8-8830-4e53c23c1919 GOOD TO KNOW - Give it a minute: after you install or change a setting, the map can take a minute or two to show your weather and light. The ring fills from the moment you install. - Sunrise, sunset and the map's light come from your last known location or your phone's weather. SolarDay Hex never turns on GPS. Until your watch knows where you are, the map follows a 6 AM to 6 PM day, the unit stays in town, and the crest changes at 8 AM and 4 PM. - Weather needs a phone sync first. - No solar panel? The map, the unit, its flag and the crest still follow the sun. The ring traces the sun's path, and the sun line shows the day's length, such as 12h06. - SolarDay Hex is its own app: it installs beside SolarDay and keeps its own settings. - If the face won't load after an update, pick another face, then SolarDay Hex again. - Permissions: background (measuring while the face is covered), location (sunrise and sunset), sensor history (Body Battery), user profile and complications (readings). WATCHES fenix 7, 7X, 7 Pro and 7X Pro, fenix 8 Solar 47 and 51 mm, fenix 9 Pro Solar 47 and 51 mm, Enduro 2 and 3, tactix 7, tactix 8 Solar 51 mm, quatix 7, quatix 7X Solar, Forerunner 955, best on solar editions.
