Dry static apnea and breathhold training for freedivers, spearfishers and anyone building a longer breath hold. Done sitting or lying down on land. Never do these exercises in or near water, and never train alone. inDepth Dry times your breath-hold tables (CO2 tables, static apnea, 1-breath tables) and buzzes you through each phase, so you can keep your eyes closed and your phone out of reach. Start by setting your max static: measure it with a guided Max Static, or type in the number you already know. Every session is worked out from it. Four sessions run on the watch alone, no phone needed: - Max Static: a 2:00 breathe-up, then one hold as long as you like. This is what sets your personal best. - Basic Reps: 3 holds at 50% of your max, with 3:00 of recovery in between. - Classic CO2 Table: 8 holds at 30%, with rests that shrink from 1:45 to 0:15. - 1-Breath Table: 10 holds at 30%, with a single breath between them. During a hold, press a button at your first contraction and the watch logs it. A shorter hold never lowers your best, so a bad day doesn't shrink the tables after it. By default each session is saved to Garmin Connect as a Breathing activity, with one lap per hold. Heart rate can be On, Record only, or Off, and the activity recording can be turned off in Settings. Optional: pair it with the free inDepth Apnea Sync phone app for a weekly plan, more exercises, calm Resonance and Box Breathing sessions, and a history of every session. The watch keeps your last 10 sessions until the phone collects them. A safety card shows before your first session, and you can reread it anytime from the bottom of the exercise list. Who it's for: freediving and spearfishing training done at home on dry land, STA (static apnea) practice, and breath training for free diving courses. All of it happens out of the water.
