Flight HUD brings a fighter jet head-up display to your wrist. Everything is drawn in classic HUD green, with scrolling instrument tapes and a large LCD-style time at the centre. WHAT'S ON THE FACE - Time in large LCD digits, 24-hour military format by default - Heart rate tape on the left, scrolling like an airspeed indicator - Steps tape on the right, climbing like an altimeter, with a marker at your daily step goal - Sunset countdown at the bottom — hours and minutes until sunset, switching to sunrise after dark - Battery gauge around the bottom edge, styled as a bank angle scale - Body Battery and temperature readouts at the top - Pitch ladder and flight path marker for the full cockpit look PRESS AND HOLD (touchscreen watches) Hold on the heart rate tape, steps tape, Body Battery, temperature or sunset countdown to open the matching Garmin widget. ALWAYS-ON AMOLED watches get a dedicated low-power mode that shows a dimmed time, gently shifting position to protect your screen. SETTINGS Adjust in the Garmin Connect app: - Military time — switch between 24-hour and your watch's own format - Home latitude and longitude — used for sunset times until your watch has a GPS fix (defaults to London) NOTES - Temperature comes from weather synced by your phone, falling back to the watch's own sensor, which reads slightly warm on the wrist. - Sunset times are calculated on the watch from your last known location. - The LIVE and A-A labels are decorative HUD mode indicators.
