A vintage turning-gauge clock: the hour stands large in the middle, and the minutes are read off an enamel dial that turns past a fixed pointer. The minute gauge fills the right of the face like a window onto a large printed dial. It turns once an hour, so the current minute always sits at the pointer at three o'clock. The enamel shades from bright at the inside to deep at the rim, with its scale printed in worn black ink, and large numerals every five minutes stay upright as they pass. Around it runs a pale band, aged at the edge and ticked for every minute, with the even minutes printed round it like a bezel. A black dial plate sits over the gauge and casts a soft shadow onto it. Two half-moon gauges sit on the left, one above the other. The top one fills with your steps toward the day's goal, the bottom one with body battery, each with its value inside and a large icon in the opening. Between them, four rows line up with the height of the hour: the weather with the current temperature, the weekday, day and month, your heart rate, and the watch battery. Always-on keeps the hour and the minute scale round the pointer, in dim colour on black, so the time still reads at a glance. It is drawn to stay lit within the display limit instead of blanking after a few seconds.
