The background shifts continuously through dawn, morning, midday, afternoon, golden hour, dusk and night, anchored to today's real sunrise and sunset at your location. Clouds, rain, snow and fog appear in the sky when the weather calls for them. The time sits on a horizon: above it, crisp white digits; below it, they glow in the colour of the moment, as if the sun were setting behind the numbers. The sun (or the moon) travels along the bezel from one end of the horizon to the other, with sunrise and sunset times at the ends and a countdown in the last hour.
