Every portfolio's profit and loss, at a glance on your wrist.
MarketWatch Max is a free companion app that turns your MarketWatch data into a portfolio dashboard. Where MarketWatch shows one WebMemo portfolio at a time (chosen from up to three), Max splits your holdings into up to seven portfolios and shows the value and profit or loss of each one side by side. US stocks, Japanese stocks, crypto, retirement savings: group them however you like.
MarketWatch required
Max unlocks with the license key from your MarketWatch purchase, at no extra charge. Without a license it only shows a "License Required" screen. Get MarketWatch first:

What Max adds
- Up to 7 named portfolios, up to 20 symbols each (140 symbols in total)
- A portfolio list that shows the value and profit or loss of every portfolio together, and a Net detail screen that charts each portfolio as a whole
- Markets: a read-only list of 20 world symbols, so you can follow indices, FX, crypto and futures separately from what you hold
- Move alerts: set a plus or minus percentage on a Markets symbol and Max highlights it when the move is reached, with the Markets row flashing yellow in the menu
- Charts in 6 periods from 5-minute to monthly, with high, low and volume
- Position memo that works out value and profit or loss (amount and percent) from your cost and holdings
- Up to 2 price-cross alerts per symbol, with vibration and sound
- Add and edit symbols entirely on the watch. No phone required
Works with WebMemo (free for MarketWatch owners)
WebMemo is a web app for building your portfolios on a full-size screen. Sync runs both ways: receive the portfolios you built on the web onto the watch, and send your watch-side edits back. The Markets symbols, their display names and the percentage thresholds can all be set from the web, so you never have to type a ticker on a small screen.

MarketWatch or Max
- MarketWatch: one portfolio at a time, chosen from up to three marked with the MW chip in WebMemo, shown as a 20-symbol list. Watch face home, info bars, complications and glance
- MarketWatch Max: up to seven portfolios side by side, viewed portfolio by portfolio
Same market data, same single license.
Supported devices
Garmin AMOLED watches, including Forerunner 165, 265, 570, 965 and 970, fenix 8 and E, epix Gen 2, Venu 2, 3, 4 and X1, Vivoactive 5 and 6, Instinct 3 AMOLED and MARQ Gen 2. Screen sizes 390, 416 and 454 px, plus Venu X1.
Good to know
- Prices come from the public Yahoo Finance API and can be delayed by up to 15 minutes
- Profit and loss and the summary add figures across currencies without conversion. They are a simulation, not investment advice
- Portfolios, symbols, display names and memos are stored on the watch and survive updates
- Many symbols with a short refresh interval can lag depending on your phone connection. If that happens, use fewer symbols or a longer interval

V1.3.0
- The symbol detail screen now works the same way as in MarketWatch: START switches the chart period, tapping the clock at the top refreshes right away, and tapping the chart opens the memo (tap the memo to close it)
- Technical overlays: tap the Vol: row at the bottom to draw a moving average, Bollinger Bands, VWAP, your average cost or your alert prices over the chart
- The chart now shows its period and bar size side by side, like "Per: 1D TF: 5m". The Chart Period menu (long-press the Vol: row) now lists periods from 1 Day to 5 Years
- In the Net detail, tapping the chart opens the Contribution screen, which breaks today's move down by symbol
- The Net detail chart now shows a break-even line (a cyan dashed line)
- Prices use the decimals of their currency (yen, won and the like as whole numbers, dollars and others to two decimals). Change percentages are shown to two decimals
- The user manual is now available. https://easymoat.com/portfolio/manual/
(The period selection mode on a long-press of UP has been removed. Use START to switch periods.)
V1.2.0
- Markets now syncs with WebMemo (up to 20 symbols marked for sync on the web, and any display names you renamed there come across as well)
- Price move alerts (symbols that reach the ±% you set in Markets on the web are highlighted, and the Markets row in the menu blinks yellow whenever one is alerting)
- Markets refreshes automatically while it is open, and Refresh in the portfolio list now updates Markets too
- WebMemo is now available. https://easymoat.com/portfolio/
V1.1.0
- The Net detail screen from MarketWatch now works for your portfolios too.
- Markets — a read-only list of 20 key global markets, each with its own detail screen.
- Six chart intervals (5-minute through monthly).
- Detail screen controls are now the same as in MarketWatch.
V1.0.2
