Handball Referee supports officials directly from the wrist. The count-up match clock is started and paused manually. Home and away goals can be recorded quickly, and score corrections are confirmed for two seconds while the match clock continues unchanged. On fēnix 8, the app can be controlled with the hardware keys: START starts or pauses the clock, UP records a home goal, DOWN records an away goal, and BACK removes the most recently recorded goal. On Venu 4, the upper button starts or pauses the clock. Tap the home or away score to add a goal and long-press the relevant score to remove a goal from that team. Menus are operated by swiping and tapping. During a stoppage, the match time can be corrected, the confirmation-protected half-time break can be started, and the match can be saved safely. The break countdown never starts the second half automatically. Two-minute penalties and team time-outs are optional and disabled by default. Audio alerts are also disabled by default. The default match duration is 2 × 30 minutes, with a 10-minute half-time break. Both values can be adjusted, and separate colors can be selected for the home and away teams. Below 20 percent battery, the app requires an additional confirmation before the match begins. An interrupted match can be resumed or discarded when the app is opened again. The app can simultaneously record a Garmin activity named “Handball-Schiri” as Team Sport. Depending on device permissions, GPS, heart rate, and steps are recorded. Goals, match time, penalties, and team time-outs are stored as additional FIT fields. This is an independent app and is not an official product of any handball federation.
