The handball referee app assists the referee with measurement of playing time and goal recording. Key features: • Start and stop the playing time • Record / correct goals (0–99) for the home and away teams • Monitor the duration of breaks and game interruptions • Vibration (3 seconds) at the beginning of the break and at the end of the game • Vibration (continuously) during the last 30 seconds of the final period The app is deliberately designed to be simple and easy to use. It is intended to support the referee without distracting them from the game. The app is operated exclusively using the buttons on the Garmin watch. The most important functions are arranged so that they can be accessed quickly and safely, even while running. The playing time counts forward and cannot be adjusted during the game. Recording of yellow, red, and blue cards, suspensions, and team time-outs is not supported. It is recommended to switch the mobile phone connected to the Garmin watch into airplane mode during the game. This prevents mobile phone notifications from appearing on the watch. The watch should have a battery level of at least 20%. Actual battery life depends on the specific watch model and the condition of its battery. The app is available in English, French, and German. ========== BEFORE THE GAME • Select the number of periods • Select the playing time • Select the timekeeping method • Turn vibration on or off for break and end of the game • Turn vibration on or off for the final 30 seconds ========== START OF THE GAME With the whistle for the initial throw-off, press the top right button to start the playing time. ========== STOPPING PLAYING TIME To pause the game, press the top right button, and the playing time will stop. ========== RESUME PLAYING TIME To restart the game, press the top right button, and the playing time will resume. ========== RECORD GOAL • Button bottom left: Goal for the home team • Button bottom right: Goal for the away team Each button press increases the score by +1 goal. ========== CORRECT GOAL • Press button middle left • Score turns red • Press the goal button (Home bottom left / Guest bottom right) to subtract a goal (-1) • Goal correction is switched off again • Score changes from red to white ========== SWITCH TO THE NEXT PERIOD At the start of a break, the button in the top right corner remains disabled for 30 seconds. Once this time has elapsed, press the button to prepare for the next period. ========== EXIT THE APP After the game ends, the button in the top right remains disabled for 30 seconds.
