Deskripsi

This is a chronograph watch face that actually times things. Touch and hold the dial, count thirty of something, hold again, and the red hand points at the rate on the ring. There is no app to open and nothing to set up, and it is free. WHERE IT COMES FROM Doctors' watches used to have a scale on the dial called a pulsometer. The doctor started the chronograph on one heartbeat and stopped it on the thirtieth, and the seconds hand pointed at your pulse. I wanted that on my Garmin, and I wanted it to look like the real thing, so I made one. HOW YOU USE IT A watch face gets exactly one gesture from Garmin, touch and hold, so where you hold is what matters. Touch and hold on the dial to start, again to stop, once more to reset, and the hands fly back to zero the way a mechanical chronograph does. Touch and hold on the outer ring to change scale. Hold on a small dial to open the watch's own page for whatever it shows. The time is measured to the millisecond and the number appears in the bottom dial. If the screen dims or the watch restarts, the measurement carries on. THE THREE SCALES The pulsometer reads your pulse from thirty beats, or any count from 10 to 60. The tachymeter is the scale from racing watches: time a kilometre or a mile and read your speed. The telemeter is for storms: start at the lightning, stop at the thunder, read how far away it is. Whichever scale is on, the dial says so. THE SMALL DIALS The two small dials show what you pick from nineteen options: chronograph minutes and hours, running seconds, heart rate, body battery, a pointer date, a weekday dial, a thermometer, a barometer, an altimeter with two hands like an aircraft's, steps against your own goal, and a weather dial with the forecast temperature, the day's range and the chance of rain. Each sensor also comes with its number printed inside. While you are timing something the two dials turn into the chronograph's counters, and afterwards they go back to what they were. The bottom dial has the moon in a window, with stars and craters and three hills, and the power reserve under it. You can have seconds there instead, or a pointer date, or the reserve alone, or any of those with the moon, or the weather. A small triangle shows a second time zone, on your bezel if it has a 24-hour scale and on a track inside the dial if not. Pick any city; the watch does daylight saving by itself. MAKE IT YOURS A dark dial or a light one, three styles of hands, and a choice of what goes on the inner ring, including nothing at all if your bezel already has the minutes. Eight colours for the accent and eight for the readings. It is all set on the watch under Customize, or in the Connect IQ app. FREE, AND A BETA This is my first watch. It's designed to be as feature rich as possible on purpose, which makes it cluttered. More specialized and focus built versions will follow. It works on my own watch and in the simulator on all the others, but you may find something odd on yours. Tell me and I will fix it. No paid version, no trial. If it makes you smile, you can buy me a coffee: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=VBU5L3ZECM5GQ WHAT IT CANNOT DO I would rather you read this here than find it on your wrist. The buttons do nothing, because a watch face only gets touch and hold. The watch notices a hold a moment after your finger lands, and that moment varies a little, so a reading can be off by a few tenths of a second, about one beat per minute on thirty beats. On a dimmed or black screen a hold only wakes the watch; wake it first, then hold. The always-on display redraws once a minute, so the elapsed time there can be a minute old. The readings are the watch's own and the face corrects nothing; the weather goes grey when the forecast is stale. And the pulsometer is a scale from 1940, a way to read a rate off a dial, not a medical device
