A bare oak leans over seven headstones, bats cross the moon, and a bank of fog lies over the graves. The fog is your Body Battery: when you are drained it swallows every stone; as you recover it lifts, until it lies at the foot of the hill and every grave stands clear. A small legend underneath says what the fog measures and how far it has lifted. The foreground holds four readings: steps, heart rate, the weather and the next sunrise or sunset, each marked by its icon. Battery and alerts sit with the date at the top. Choose the night: a clear night, a blood moon, the witching hour, mist, or the blue hour. The moon shows its real phase. The numerals are Creepster, the dripping letters of an old horror poster. On memory-in-pixel screens every sky is drawn for 64 colours, dithered by hand; on AMOLED it is a smooth gradient. The always-on mode keeps the time, the hill, the moon's lit edge and the tops of the fog.
