REGATTA is a photoreal mechanical dress watch with five complete dials, so you can wear a different dial every day. A classic, elegant analog look for everyday and business wear, with sub-dials, a date window, a power-reserve fan and a deadbeat seconds hand. STUDIO-GRADE ARTWORK Every dial starts as a 2048 x 2048 master, about 20 times the pixels of a fēnix 8 screen, and is finished pixel by pixel for AMOLED: sunburst brushing, guilloché grids, lacquer and polished steel that hold up at arm's length. THE FIVE DIALS Open Heart: an anthracite dial with an exposed, running movement at nine o'clock and blued register needles. Blue Soleil: a blue square-grid guilloché dial with lume-style hour markers. Black Lacquer: a black dial with a gold case, gold hands and gold-ringed sub-dials. Racing Green: a green sunburst dress dial with silver sub-dials. Guilloché: a silver guilloché dial with blued steel hands. SWITCHING DIALS Press and hold the face to step to the next dial: Open Heart, Blue Soleil, Black Lacquer, Racing Green, Guilloché, then back to Open Heart. Or pick one by name under Dial in REGATTA Demo's settings in the Connect IQ app. DEADBEAT SECONDS The seconds hand is a deadbeat, a seconde morte: it jumps one clean step each second and stops dead, while the hour and minute hands creep forward continuously and never snap to the minute. The date window shows the day of the month. THREE REGISTERS THAT READ YOU Body Battery: a power-reserve fan from 0 to 100, the energy you have left, not the watch's. Heart rate: 40 to 160 bpm. Steps: a fixed 0 to 12,000 scale that laps like a chronograph counter once you pass 12,000. OPEN HEART The Open Heart movement runs: second by second the escape wheel steps a tooth, the pallet fork rocks, the balance wheel swings and the hairspring breathes under its bridge. ALWAYS-ON With always-on enabled, the sleeping face is a carbon copy of the dial you are wearing: the same dial, hands, registers and date, in dim black and white, at about 6 to 8 percent of full brightness on average. It redraws once a minute, so there is no seconds hand, and the whole face drifts a few pixels every minute to protect your screen.
