A classic analog dress dial for your Garmin, with a sunburst finish. Meridian is drawn the way a mechanical watch is designed rather than laid out like an app. Tapered dauphine style sword hands with a faceted centre ridge, a sunburst dial that shifts as the light moves across it, applied baton indices with a doubled marker at twelve, a continuous sixty tick chapter ring at the edge, and a date window at three. The proportions follow classic watchmaking ratios, so the hands sit at the same fractions of the dial as they would on a real watch, and it looks right on a 43mm Instinct and on a 51mm fenix alike. 1.1 New in this update • Settings, for the first time: accent colour, the colour of your values, and the sunburst and seconds hand on or off, from the Connect IQ app or on the watch from the Watch Face menu. • Switch off the Type2Fun wordmark under the 12. • Two new data positions: a window at 9 and a readout above 6, both empty until you choose something, next to the date window at 3. • Customise on the watch: on newer watches (fenix 8, Forerunner 170 and later) pick Customise under this face in the watch face list to set all of it and put any data from your watch in each position. • Fixed: on memory in pixel watches (fenix, Forerunner, Instinct) the dial showed the stripped down always-on version for most of the day. The full dial now stays up. • Always-on on AMOLED watches now moves further each minute to protect the screen.
