REFFF is built by referees, for referees. Everything you need on the pitch is on your wrist, and you control it with the buttons alone - so sleeves, rain or your other arm can never change the score by accident. Version 6.2.0 (2 November 2026) Hockey-only app: REFFF on Garmin is now a hockey app (one watch app per sport on every watch platform; the iPhone app stays one app for all sports). Start opens the type straight away (Field / Indoor, own matches, Shoot-out); the setup has 3 steps (type, periods, time). Removed: the sport step, the setting Preferred sport (watch menu and Connect IQ), and Sport in own matches (watch and Connect IQ); a new own match is always hockey and older football own matches are shown as hockey. The score pill on the match screen now has the team colour itself, with black or white text (whichever reads best); default white. Version 5.2.0 (30 October 2026) Smaller app, same features: memory use down from 135 KB to 111 KB (−18%), so it also fits watches with a 128 KB app limit. The texts for the Language setting are now stored as resources (one per language, loaded only when a language other than the watch language is chosen) instead of four tables in the code (−22 KB). Unused code and texts from earlier designs removed (−2 KB). Version 5.1.0 (30 October 2026) Team colours: black or a rainbow colour per team (picker with thick colour bars), in Team names during the match and for the home team in the settings. On the match screen each team's score and code sit on a white pill in the team colour. Home team: "Home favourite" is now called "Home team" (also on the phone, with its colour). Without a team code the teams are shown as HOME / AWAY in capitals. Rain mode (setting, default off): touch off in the whole app, only the buttons work. Shoot-out: "Undo last attempt" is at the top of the shoot-out menu (BACK) and shows what is undone (e.g. "GOI · Goal"). Fix: undo removed the first matching attempt instead of the last one. Penalty corner: the label is exactly centred between the match time and the countdown; when the timer has run out and nothing is pressed, the match screen returns after 5 seconds. Version 5.0.0 (30 October 2026) Penalty corner timer (hockey) On the match screen the UP button (left middle, "PC" in orange; NL "SC", DE "SE") starts a penalty corner timer. Timer screen: match time at the top, counting-down seconds in the centre (last 5 in red), UP = retake, START = match clock, bottom buttons Back and Menu (e.g. to enter a goal). Settings (watch and phone): duration field (0:40) and indoor (0:30), match clock keeps running or stops, signals at 30 / 20 / 10 s and 5-4-3-2-1 (each on/off), vibration, sound, and the side of the Back button (left or right, for left- or right-handed wearers). Match screen Clock a little narrower (less space around the period fraction) with room for "PC" on both sides, so it stays symmetric. Penalty card squares 5 px from the centre line (was 10 px); shirt numbers and times move along, more room next to the menu icons. Version 4.0.0 Shoot-out only Setup → Hockey → Type → Shoot-out: just a shoot-out, without a match. Set the first series and what comes after, press Start, choose who starts and the shoot-out screen opens. The result goes to the history as e.g. "GOI 4 - 2 HHB (SO)". Shoot-out menu (BACK): Team names, before the first attempt (also after a normal match). Break alarm and clock stopped alarm New settings (watch and phone). Break alarm: during the break, an alarm every chosen interval. Clock stopped alarm: when the clock is stopped within a period, or the next period is ready after a break. Per alarm: on/off, every (min:sec, default 1:00), vibration and sound. First alarm after one interval, then every interval until the clock runs again. Texts Dutch: "periode/periodes" instead of "deel/delen" everywhere; picker abbreviation "per" and short form "P" (e.g. P3).
