A split-flap flip clock whose cards really flip. When the minute changes while you're looking, the top flap falls and the new number lands, just like a 1970s desk clock. Around it, six places for the data you choose. US$1.99, paid for in the Connect IQ store like any other app. No activation code, no trial that runs out, no account, no website to visit. Buy it once, and it's yours. - Big, crisp split-flap digits on every screen size, drawn for each one: the hours and the minutes on two cards with a hinge across the middle. - A real flip, about a third of a second, whenever the time changes while you're looking. Choose to see it every time you raise your wrist too, or turn it off. Touch and hold the cards to flip them again. - Six places, every one yours to choose from the same long list: steps, distance, calories, active calories, floors climbed, intensity minutes, heart rate (live), resting heart rate, stress, Body Battery, Pulse Ox, respiration, sleep score, recovery time, VO2 max, this week's running or cycling, the weather (the right icon by day and by night), feels like, today's high and low, chance of rain, humidity, wind, the next sunrise or sunset, the moon, altitude, air pressure, solar intensity, battery (% or days left), notifications, alarms, your phone's connection, your next calendar event, a second time zone (31 cities), the week number, or the seconds on little flaps. Or leave one empty. Nothing is forced on you. - Touch and hold a place to open its page on the watch (touch screens). - The date and weekday on little flaps, eight ways. - Eight themes (Classic, Ivory, Departures, Red, Olive, Navy, White and Amber), and the cards, the digits and the icons each in the colour you like. - 12- or 24-hour time, as your watch has it or as you choose, with or without a zero before one-digit hours. - An always-on screen that still looks like the flip clock: dim cards and digits, the date, and your data if you like, moving a few pixels each minute to protect the screen. It stays well inside Garmin's brightness limit, so it stays on. - Memory-in-pixel watches keep the whole face between looks (no "power-saving" look), with the seconds and the heart rate updated every second if you want. - Made for the Instinct too: white cards on its black-and-white screen, with a value in the little round window. - Light on the battery: the flip only plays while you're looking. Change the settings in the Garmin Connect app (Connect IQ, then the face, then Settings), or on the watch itself. Flip Face collects no data, needs no phone connection and never goes online.
