Περιγραφή

Snowgun takes the temperature and humidity from your phone's weather and the 12-hour forecast and turns them into the wet-bulb temperature, the number snowmakers actually work with. It shows whether you can make snow right now, which hours tonight are cold and dry enough (for example "Snowmaking: 03-08 h") and whether the snow will come out wet, medium or dry. The start limit is -2.5 °C wet bulb by default and you can change it for your own gun. For a backyard rink it counts freezing degree-days from the day you start the rink, in the background, and estimates the ice thickness with Stefan's ice-growth equation, using a coefficient for windy, snow-covered or sheltered ice or your own value. It also estimates when a new flood layer will be frozen with the coming hours. Log your snowgun and flooding sessions and see the totals. The ice thickness is an estimate only and is not a safety check: never go on natural ice based on this app. WHAT IT DOES - Wet-bulb temperature (Stull 2011) from air temperature and humidity, now and for the next 12 hours - Snowmaking window, number of good hours and expected snow quality (wet, medium, dry) - Backyard rink: freezing degree-days counter, ice thickness estimate (Stefan) and growth curve - Time until a flood layer of your chosen thickness is frozen - Snowgun and flooding session log with totals - Glance with tonight's window or the current ice estimate - °C/cm or °F/in, 5 languages WHAT IT NEEDS - A watch with weather data (Connect IQ 3.2 or newer) and a connected phone for the forecast - The ice thickness is a planning estimate, not a safety judgement
