Description

OVERRIDE Horizon — Watch Face V1.01 -- 3 day Trial Requires API 4.2 or later A lightweight watch face built for battery efficiency. Tested on Instinct 3 AMOLED at roughly 2% battery drain per day (smartwatch mode, no AOD, heart rate and Pulse Ox off during testing). ——— OVERVIEW ——— Large, easy-to-read time display and data fields, with up to two full screens of information. - 12 selectable time fonts - 6 selectable data fields on Screen 1 - 7 selectable data fields on Screen 2 - Dedicated icons for notifications, Bluetooth, and more -AOD Dimming from 25% to 75% extra to reduce battery usage in AOD mode ——— OVERRIDE FIELDS ——— Swap a field's normal content for something more important the moment a condition is met — and highlight it in its own color. You can also keep the same field and just change its color to draw attention to a value — e.g. battery level shown in white, overriding to red only when it drops below 25%. Examples of what Override Fields can do (you set the threshold) : -Field 4 normally shows sunrise time. When battery drops below (25%), it automatically switches to show battery level in red instead, and switches back to sunrise once battery level is back above (25%). - Chance of precipitation above (40%) today? Swap body battery for POP, and shown it in blue. - ** Blood sugar reading above (10)? Swap the steps field to show it in orange. - ** Calendar event in (6) hours, show it instead of the 2 day foreast. - ** A commute time is (present), show my commute instead of steps items marked with ** require 3rd-party complication publishers ('Override Assistant' publishes calendar, commute, HomeAssisant) (Sugar sense publishes blood sugar, but not tested by me) The possibilities are limitless — set your own conditions and colors to surface what matters, only when it matters. ——— COMPLICATIONS ——— Display up to FOUR third-party custom complications. (available on watches that support 3rd party complications) tested with the 'Override Assistant' app (calendar events, commute time, HomeAssistant). ——— WEATHER ——— Choose your weather provider and dial in hyper localized GPS-based weather — or fall back to Garmin's weather station location-based weather when roaming. OpenWeatherMap: Uses your current GPS location for the most locally accurate weather, so it's best to step outside and get a GPS lock. Without a GPS position, it falls back to the nearest Garmin weather station location (the same one your watch normally uses). If you travel more than [XX] km, the watch face automatically falls back to the nearest Garmin weather station for your new area, and keeps using Garmin station data until you get a manual or activity GPS lock at your destination for more localized weather. (fallback can be delayed until Garmin updates it's location) Note: the watch face never activates the GPS. It only reads the cached location of the nearest Garmin weather station to detect when you've traveled, or the exact position when you activate a GPS lock. You can also set roam-distance sensitivity for this fallback, or choose "Always Roam" to disable the manual hyper accurate GPS-based positioning entirely. OpenWeatherMap requires a free (no credit card required) API key. sign up here: https://home.openweathermap.org/users/sign_up then find the key under username (top right) and 'my API keys' then email it to your device and copy/paste the key into the app settings. ——— CUSTOMIZATION ——— Screen 1: Colors selectable for hour, colon, minute, Bluetooth icon, notification icon, all other icons, top data field, bottom data field, and all 4 corner fields. Screen 2: Colors selectable for icons, top and bottom fields, and all center fields. Eight extra-large fields for easy reading at a glance. Access Screen 2 with a double wrist-raise motion. It reverts to Screen 1 after 15 seconds, or can be set to stay until the screen sleeps. What are your favorite overrides? *some weather data provided by OpenWeather*
