Description
Cycling Nutrition Tracker is a free interactive touch data field for Garmin Edge 840/840 Solar, Edge 850, Edge 1030, Edge 1040/1040 Solar and Edge 1050.
Add it to its own one-field page in your cycling activity profile. Log food and drinks with a tap while your normal Garmin activity keeps recording.
LIVE TRACKING
- Four carbohydrate buttons, each with four independent product choices. Prepare labels and grams in Connect IQ and select a product for each button on the Edge Plan page.
- Carbohydrates and fluids consumed during the latest 60 minutes of active Garmin timer time. Pauses are excluded when the activity timer is paused. During the first hour, the display shows intake so far. These are logged intake amounts, not an estimate of absorption.
- Ride totals, intake targets, cumulative target balance and time since the last carb and fluid intake.
- One or two independent bottles, each with a full volume, carbohydrate content and 2–12 taps. Every tap logs both fluid and carbs. DONE counts fully consumed bottles. Refill an empty bottle explicitly and optionally choose another profile or tap count. Refilling alone logs no intake.
- Other Fluid remains a separate button with four configurable choices.
- Delete, Undo, Redo and protected Reset, including bottle portions and completion counts.
REMINDERS AND PLAN
Separate carb and fluid reminders count from the latest intake. Choose OFF, 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Alerts appear over this data field's Live, History and Plan pages and remain until tapped. Dismissing an alert logs no intake. Targets and reminder intervals remain editable during a ride through HISTORY → PLAN.
HISTORY AND GARMIN CONNECT
History has twelve hourly buckets, newest first, with scrolling. On rides longer than twelve active hours, later intake is combined in the last bucket. After saving and syncing your activity, the FIT developer fields provide Garmin Connect charts for cumulative carbohydrates and fluids, rolling-hour intake and the four carb buttons. Six activity-summary fields contain total carbs, total fluid and the four carb-button gram totals. Chart steps show when intake was logged. Custom product names cannot dynamically replace Garmin Connect's fixed carb-button field titles. Bottle carbs contribute to the overall carb total, not to the four food-button totals.
SETTINGS
Configure the data field in Connect IQ, Garmin Connect or Garmin Express. Choice 1 has separate label and grams fields; choices 2–4 use Name:g|Name:g|Name:g. Bottle profiles use Name|ml|carbs|taps. Other Fluid uses Name|ml. Target lists contain four values separated by |. Invalid values are rejected. Version v1.5.0 is visible on the Plan page.
No developer-operated servers, advertising or analytics. Intake data is stored locally and included in the Garmin activity FIT file. All functions are free. This is a logging tool, not medical or nutritional advice.
