▬ October 22, 2026 - 1.6.6 - STABILITY: Finished off the main menu crash that 1.6.5 went after. It could still hit when tapping a menu button, because the brief highlight on the button you tapped ran on its own stopwatch, and the watch only allows a few. The highlight now runs off the menu's existing animation clock, so a tap no longer needs a stopwatch of its own. Seen on Forerunner 165. ▬ October 18, 2026 - 1.6.5 - STABILITY: Fixed a crash on the main menu that could hit if you pressed start or tapped a button twice in quick succession. Each extra press quietly set up a game nobody was playing, with its own stopwatch left ticking, and the watch only allows a few. Now the first press wins and the rest are ignored. Seen mostly on Forerunner 165, 255, 265 and 965. ▬ September 18, 2026 - 1.6.4 - STABILITY: Fixed a crash that could strike right at the end of a run, while scores saved up from offline sessions were being sent. It showed up mainly on Venu 4 and Forerunner 255 once a decent backlog had built up. Signing that backlog is now effectively instant, so the watchdog has nothing to bite. No scores were ever lost - the watch just should not have flinched. ▬ September 16, 2026 - 1.6.3 - NEW DEVICES: fenix 9 support across the whole range - 43mm, 47mm, the Pro trio and both Pro Solar sizes. The 51mm Pro screen is a size no Garmin has used before, so it gets its own artwork rather than a stretched hand-me-down. No gameplay changes, just more wrists to run on. ▬ June 24, 2026 - 1.6.2 - STABILITY: Finally stomped the pesky bug that could freeze some watches mid-run (vívoactive 5 & 6, we owe you one). Turns out the runner was hoarding stopwatches like a Kaka hoards shiny things - now there's just the one. Also made high-score saving dramatically faster so the watchdog stops biting.
