The bottom of the dial is the level: grass over brick, a hill, a row of gold coins and a flag at the far end. The hero is a ginger cat in a red scarf, and it runs on your steps. Each morning it starts at the left; as you walk it runs right, collecting every coin it passes, and when your step goal is met it reaches the flag, the flag goes up and the cat jumps. Above the level, five hearts are your Body Battery, like a game's health bar, filling half a heart at a time. The time is drawn in big pixel figures, built block by block for each screen so they stay perfectly sharp, with a drop shadow as a game's score has. Two readings sit under it, heart rate and steps to start with, and the date and battery at the top. Five worlds: a blue-sky meadow, a starry night, a sunset desert, snow and lava. The cat can run on steps, Body Battery, intensity minutes, floors or battery, and the hearts can show any of them but stress. On memory-in-pixel screens every world is drawn in flat 64-colour pixel art, as a console would draw it. The always-on mode keeps the figures as dots, the ground line, the cat's outline and the flag pole.
